Outdoor learning

What a glorious day we had today for our first outdoor learning session with Mrs Kelly. The sun was bright and the sky was blue all afternoon. On the way out to the back of the pitch saw some trails left by planes and the girls and boys noticed it looked a bit like the flag of Scotland.

We organised ourselves into a square and played some games to work on our listening and observational skills, then we worked on alphabetical order activities before moving on to exploring the school grounds.

Spending some time talking about our decisions and how we assess risks really helped us safely explore and discover our new learning area today.

We had a chance to play with some of the natural resources we will be using in the coming weeks too. Let’s hope the weather continues to be as brilliant every Thursday for us. 🌞
