We recently held an S1 Literacy Family Learning Event to launch our literacy programme for S1 pupils and give families a chance to test out the new homework programme to support this.

During the event, the strategy of ‘A CARP PIE’ was introduced and together we looked at and example of how it would be used in practice. The power point below explains what each aspect of ‘A CARP PIE’ is and how this mnemonic can be used to further develop skills in writing.
