Prom Outfits
Well done!
Huge congratulations to Ellie, in S1, and Isla, in S4, who competed at the Scottish Acrobatic Championships at Ravenscraig this weekend and placed 2nd. They have also secured a place at the inter-regional acrobatic championships in Southampton. Well done!
S3 Prefects
Our new S3 Prefects were recently appointed and will take over their duties once SQA study leave begins. Well done to those nominated!

We are pleased to announce that Lucie B in S5 has been selected to represent Scotland in the WU17 UEFA Tournament in Poland from 11th-20th of March in Poznan, Poland. This builds on her success with both Kilmarnock and Scotland. Everyone at Kilmarnock Academy is behind you Lucie.
Under-18 Girls Football
Ayrshire U18 Girls through to the finals of a National Competition following a 4-3 victory today against West Lothian.
Zoe (S6) and Eve (S4) were both representing the school.
STEM Nation Award
The STEM Nation Award was developed by Education Scotland to celebrate, promote and build on effective practice in STEM Education. After a validation process of the submitted evidence, Kilmarnock Academy have been awarded of all five elements and are the first school in East Ayrshire to achieve the full award. Kilmarnock Academy were presented with the Award by Lorraine Ross, Education Scotland on Tuesday 20th February. The award is recognition of the wide range of STEM activity taking place within the school and will now open up doors of opportunity to international partnerships. Mr Rose, Head Teacher, commended the work of the Science Faculty and the wider school community, and thanked Mrs McAdam for driving and coordinating the submission to Education Scotland.
