Merry Christmas from the Senior Prefects!
Wallace Wonders!
Wallace House has done it once again! For the second consecutive term, Wallace House has claimed the top spot by earning the most house points. Their dedication, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of excellence have truly paid off, setting a shining example for all.
From academic achievements to sporting success and community contributions, Wallace House members have shown what it means to go above and beyond. This remarkable streak highlights their commitment and spirit, proving that hard work and collaboration lead to outstanding results.
Congratulations to all Wallace Wonders! Let’s see if they can make it three in a row next term. Keep up the fantastic effort, and remember—every point counts!

Well done to Alicia who received three awards at Army Cadets recently! One of the awards is for completing a Junior Cadet Instructors course.
Masterchef Winners!
Well done to Fleming House who won Masterchef for the second year in a row! They received the most votes from S6 this afternoon.
Congratulations Adam!
Congratulations to our S6 pupil Adam on being selected as part of the final squad for the prestigious Scotland Under 18 international schools football squad. What a great achievement – well done Adam!
Maths Success!
Our Enterprising Maths team (Liam S3, Nicole S3, Erin S4, Bogdan S4) put in a stellar performance representing East Ayrshire at the national final at Glasgow Science Centre. Competing against 53 teams from across Scotland, they finished an impressive 29th place. We’re very proud of their achievements and look forward to having Liam and Nicole back in the team next year as S4s.
Three of our senior pupils have achieved prizes for UK Maths Trust Senior Kangaroo. This is an invitation-only follow-on round from the UKMT Senior Maths challenge in which they previously performed outstandingly. Chloe (Higher) achieved a Gold certificate whilst Shahzaib and Cody (Advanced Higher) achieved Silver certificates. Preparation for and participation in the competition was done entirely in pupils’ own time, alongside studying for their prelims – they have done a great job of managing their time.
Quadcopter Success
Kilmarnock Academy has been crowned the Raytheon National Quadcopter champions 2025! After a tough competition in London team KAPPAS came out on top!
Well done to Robbie Lyall, Nathan Craig, Matthew Butler and Lucas Kirkwood for winning the UK finals! What a performance from all our boys, they were outstanding from start to finish, picking up some heavy silverware and a heavier cheque for the school’s STEM fund! Mr Campbell led the team all the way to the finals.
