Willowbank School, KilmarnockThe Bluebells class created these fabulous zebra pictures buy using lines. With some support, the children cut strips of coloured, recycled card to make zebra stripes. Everyone was very proud of their work and they presented it to staff.

The Pine Class are preparing for Children in Need. The boys and girls created these lovely ‘Pudsey Pictures’ by using pre cut gummed circles, finger paints and pom poms.

On Monday mornings the Transition Class have been taking part in pool zumba sessions, led by Mrs McGowne.
The focus this term has been on pool safety and I am delighted to say that all of the boys have displayed excellent behaviour and followed the pool safety rules really well this term.

The Transition class have been busy creating the characters from their book study, Thumble Tumble and the Ollpheist by A.H Proctor.
The excellent descriptions of the witches in the book have allowed the pupils to gather relevant materials from the art room which would best suit the characters.
We are beginning the sensory art journey with Thumble Tumble and Aunt Bessie…

Today the boys and girls in the Bluebells class made these super 3D pumpkin models. We discussed Hallowe’en and there was a lots of sharing and teamwork on display during the activity.

The Pine class worked together to create these lovely sensory hedgehogs for the Harvest Assembly.
Everyone was able to carry out a simple instruction and the class worked well together. Effective contributors!
The Pine class are studying Cloudy with a chance of meatballs for their class topic. The children were given the opportunity to create their own paintbrushes using food, in connection with the story.
Everyone experienced using a carrot to draw, celery to paint, lettuce to dab and a cut pepper to print. We discussed colour mixing and textures. Successful learners today!
