Halloween Fun!

Confident Individuals

The Moonbeams have enjoyed a variety of Halloween activities this week. They made spooky Halloween pictures, they made play-doh and then molded it into bats and spiders. The children were all really engaged while making a Witches Potion full of smelly and horrible ingredients such as eyeballs and Witches warts. Check out our photos to see what the Moonbeams dressed up as.

Theme – Water Channelling

Successful Learners  Confident Individuals

The Moonbeams enjoyed some outdoor learning building a water channelling feature. They poured water down the channels and watched it flow. They then put some objects on the channels like ducks, balls and cars and poured the water slow and fast to see how they reacted. The Moonbeams had great fun!

Theme: Yogi and the Great Outdoors – Measure

Successful Learners   Confident Individuals

The Moonbeams have been learning about Measure through their theme. The children were able to sign big, small, long and short. We looked at things we would find outside. The children were able to recognise, identify and order these from biggest to smallest. We then had some sensory fun looking for big and small objects in the sand and water beads.

Responsible Citizens   Effective Contributors

The Moonbeams have been learning how they can help to make our world more Eco friendly.  We made Eco pledges to switch off the lights when we are not using them, turn off taps when they are not in use, walk more, feed the birds and recycle where possible.

The pupils created informative posters and made bird feeders.
