The beech class started a new SQA today that will focus on our personal hygiene. Throughout the course of the year we will look at all the different ways we look after our bodies and keep ourselves healthy as we grow and mature.
Today, we had an introductory lesson where we looked at all of the different parts of our body that we need to keep clean and all of the different products we might use. We explored lots of products via our senses, then did a smell test to see if we could identify the product after smelling it.
We were very responsible citizens as we talked about our bodies and our routines at home.
We did a germ experiment to find out the best way of getting rid of germs on our hands given a choice of hot water, soap or sanitizer. We decided that it would be best to use all three as none of them managed to make the germs completely disappear.
