•Champions raise awareness of wellbeing and provide staff and pupils with information about contacts/helplines/websites.
•It provides staff and pupils with training and advice on how to “have a wellbeing conversation” and where appropriate Champions can set up a listening ear service for staff and pupils to come to chat about their wellbeing.
•The third strand to the programme involves asking staff and pupils which clubs or events they would like to set up to help each other with their Wellbeing. Other schools have worked with their colleagues and pupils to set up mindfulness groups (using clips), sports / dance classes, book clubs, buddy schemes and other common interest groups to encourage staff and pupils to meet and support each other.
•The end goal would be to create a successful scheme in each school in East Ayrshire which ensures everyone feels a connection to their school and are aware of self-help strategies / service which are available to support them.

Our Wellbeing Champions meet every Thursday lunchtime 1.30pm-2pm
