Look who I bumped into at a Strictly Kids 2018 event in Glasgow!
Ruby enjoyed a day of dance, met Oti from Strictly, Miss Great Britain, the Scottish Rockettes and helped to raise money for the STV Children’s Appeal!
Well done Ruby! X
While passing through the P1/2 tunnel I took some photos of the last baby chick, now getting bigger.

Mrs Findlay had a surprise 60th celebration today! Walking in this morning, Mrs Findlay was treated to balloons, banners and music from her favourite artist, Rod Stewart. The day was complete with a parade around the playground and some Rod Stewart cupcakes for staff and pupils.
A huge thank you to all staff, parents and pupils who kept our surprise under wraps. It was a great day with lots of mini Rods around the school. A great effort by all.
P6 had a great turnout for Onthank’s first ever John Muir Award Celebration this afternoon. Our P6s have been learning that John Muir was a Scottish born conservationalist, who lived in the late 1800s and later moved to America to found of some of their National Parks.
The award encourages children to explore natural areas near the school and over time develop and conserve them. You may have noticed that trees have been planted at the front of the school and a wide selection of vegetables have been planted near the nursery.
Congratulations to our P6 pupils, you have worked extremely hard! Thanks to all who came along to help us celebrate. We hope you had a good time and learned something new!
Please contact the office if you would be able to help us water and care for the plants over the summer holidays.

Pupils from Onthank Primary were playing at Tesco in Kilmarnock on Saturday  to raise money for their band. Use the comments below to tell us what you like to do in your spare time.
We took a short break from our Royal Wedding celebrations on Friday to visit Crossgates Care Home. The staff are working hard in preparation for the care home reopening its doors, so we thought we’d take them some wedding cake to have during a well deserved break!
