Just a reminder that all P5 pupils will recite their Scots poem to their peers this Friday. Please encourage and support your child to practice performing their particular poem and I look forward to hearing their best efforts.
Good luck everyone. Gie it laldy!
P5i are enjoying their topic covering the ‘noughtie’ years .
As social media users, they were tasked with designing a new Social Media App and Logo that represented their needs. Some of their designs and suggestions blew me away. Here are some of the finished logos. Click on the logos link to open a PDF fie.

Termly Overview – P5 term 3
Thank you
Team P5
As part of our decades topic (P5 are looking at 2000 – 2010) P5E had a visit from Mr Flemmich who runs the Darvel Telephone Museum. He brought lots of telephones in to show us how they have changed over the past 100 years. Mr Flemmich then let the pupils play with them. They seemed to have a lot of fun and we all learned a lot of new information.
I will be running a lunch time football club for any Primary 5 pupil who would like to take part. Until further notice it will run on a Thursday lunch time from approximately 12:50 until 13:15. Due to the expected numbers, the football will work on a rotational basis, with 2 classes taking part one week and the remaining 2 classes taking part in the following week.
The schedule will run as follows:
Week A: P5M and P5I
Week B: P5 N/D and P5E
Next Thursday (17th) will be week A.
Pupils should have appropriate indoor shoes, shorts and t-shirt.
Many Thanks
Mr MacLeod
