New playground

 

A huge well done to the Primary 6/7 from last year who had written persuasive letters to the council asking them to resurface our playground as it was in a terrible state.

I am pleased to say that we now have a smooth concrete surface for the upper children to play on.

Party time in P1/2🎅🏻🎉

P1/2 had a super time at their Christmas party today 🎉🎉🎉! They all looked fabulous in their outfits and had lots of fun dancing and playing party games.

Grand Old Duke was a favourite!!

And of course the party snacks provided by the catering staff topped the afternoon off 😋!

Santa visits Mount Carmel 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻

The boys and girls in P1, P1/2 and P2/3 were given a wonderful surprise today………….Santa came to visit! Even though he is super busy, he made time to travel  all the way from the North Pole to come and see us!!

We told Santa what we would like for Christmas and then we sang “Jingle Bells” to thank him for his visit.

Class Christmas Raffle

Thank you to FOMC who have today delivered our fabulous class Christmas prizes.  These looking amazing!  Remember there is still time to purchase a raffle ticket, these are available via ParentPay.

Remember all the ticket for each class prize are then place into our final draw for our final prize!  ‘He’ is hiding behind the tree!

You and everyone at Mount Carmel Primary School did something amazing on Friday. By putting on a silly jumper you’ve helped to give children in the UK and all over the world the chance to be excited about the future again – because it’s much easier to see the magic out there when you’re safe, healthy and have a full tummy.

Christmas Raffle- Final week for tickets

Just a reminder that this is the final week to purchase tickets for our Christmas Raffle as tickets will no longer be on sale after this Friday (17th December).

There will be individual class prizes plus an overall prize. We will post pictures of our raffle prizes very shortly. Tickets cost £1 per strip.

P1 Registration week will take place from Monday 10 January until Friday 14 January 2022.  All applications require to be completed online at –

Water House Prize

Today all of the children in the Water House have had a fantastic time watching a Christmas movie as well as decorating some special treats with Stephanie.
