First Level

There are lots of lovely and meaningful ways to engage first level learners in numeracy and maths outdoors, allowing them to explore the maths that are all around us.  Below, are some lesson plans, along with accompanying resources which early level teachers can carry out in their school grounds or that can be shared with parents to carry out in their own spaces.

We have recently added MNU planners which are the result of collaboration between LOST and the SAC Numeracy team. Each planner is based on a theme and covers a variety of CfE Es and Os across the Maths and Numeracy Curriculum.
