Homework this week is all about using a calendar. Using a calendar for this year answer the questions from the attached worksheet in your yellow jotter. As this is more of a life-skill, all maths groups will complete the same activity.
Complete the final dictionary task in your red jotter.
As we are completing our novel study on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory alongside our topic on ‘Chocolate’ , I would like to challenge you all to create your own chocolate invention room inside a shoe box.
Use your imagination and any materials you wish in order to do this.
Chocolate room shoe boxes should be brought into school on Thursday 30th May.

Welcome back to our final term of P5!
What a busy and exciting term we have ahead, starting with our class trip to Dumfries House on Wednesday.
There will be no homework this week as it is a shorter working week for us. Homework will recommence next week.
Our sharing the learning event scheduled for Wednesday has been cancelled.

Complete the first 3 pages of the Dictionary Skills booklet. Write your answers in your red literacy jotter.

This week we will begin revisiting time. Have a go at the revision exercises below in your yellow jotter.
Homework this week for literacy is to read for enjoyment as part of our World Book Day Celebrations.
Pupils should also complete money games on Splashlearn.

Find the main idea and supporting evidence from the text. Write your answers under sub-headings in your red jotter.
Pyramids/Cylinders – Work out the total cost of the bills. Use the 4 operations to help you and show all working. This should be completed in your yellow jotter.
Spheres – Complete the addition and subtraction of money worksheet in your yellow jotter.
Cubes – Complete the place value worksheet.
Create alliterative names for the animals on the worksheet. Remember alliteration is when words have the same beginning letter eg, absolutely amazing animals. Complete this task in your red jotter.
Extra challenge for Jelly Babies – pick an animal from the worksheet and write a paragraph about the animal using alliteration – similar to what we tried in class 🙂
Pyramids/Cylinders – Complete Exercise 1 of the probability worksheet in the yellow jotter. For extra challenge, Exercise 2 can be completed 🙂
Spheres – Complete the multiplication calculations in your yellow jotter. If you need to borrow a tables square just let me know.
Cubes – Complete the place value worksheet.
