Well done to all those that won awards at our achievement assembly.
P5 and ECC
P5 were super excited to meet their buddies in the ECC. We went down to the ECC where they had the chance to meet, talk and play together.
Pancake Day
Tomorrow (Tuesday 4th March), Primary 4/5 will be working with Primary 1 to make pancakes.
P4/5 Eco Greenhouse
With the recycled plastic bottles that have been donated we drilled the caps to the wood then added on the bottles at the bottom. Next step is to thread the canes through the bottles. The children all demonstrated great technology skills.
P4/5 Community Waste Officers
The East Ayrshire Community Waste Officers came in to talk to us about recycling at home and in school. We were able to make links with what we are trying to achieve in working towards our next Eco Flag as part of the Clean Green Awards.
P4/5 outdoor learning
For Valentine’s Day we created hearts from natural materials. We also made heart bookmarks to celebrate our love of reading.
P4/5 Scottish Poetry Competition
Outstanding performances from our Scottish poetry finalists. Well done!
P4/5 Quiet Room Competition
P4/5 took part in a competition to choose the name for the school quiet room and design the sign for the door.
The quiet room can be used by children who need some quiet time or if unwell.
P4/5 took turns in small groups to look at the room before each child came up with their own name and design. A winner was chosen and the design of the room will follow the design of the name.
The winner is …………. Samuel Tannahill.
Well Done !
