Over the last few weeks, we have been learning about creative dance. We have been learning about the 4 main dance shapes – pin, wall, twist and ball and how these can be danced at different heights.
Using the story, The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch, we created our own dances using key features of the story – the cottage, the boat, the waves, the seaweed and seagulls to inspire us.
Wow, Mrs Conetta was blown away today with the creativity of P2/3. They were set the challenge of creating a symmetrical snowflake using cotton buds. Everybody created their own unique snowflake. Well done!
We have been learning about medicines, harmless and harmful substances. In pairs or trios, the class were given scenario cards and asked to act out the situation. Everyone was fantastic in their roles and responded appropriately to the scenarios they were given.
P2/3 created their art pieces today for the Light-up Fenwick committee to display in the bus stops in Fenwick.
All pupils loved the chance to get the paint out and be creative. Watch this space … coming to a bus stop near you soon!
