We have been revising numbers to 5 in French through variety of fun games. We played a beanbag toss game, matching game and action game.
P2/3 – We have been learning about time
Time
This week we have been learning lots about time. The pupils have been able to tell the time on the hour and half past the hour using an analogue clock. They are now starting to tell the time at quarter past the hour.
The pupils have also learned how to record digital time and have started making links between different times and their daily routine.
We have also had lots of discussion and tasks which have focused on days on the week, months of the year and seasons. This is ongoing each morning as we update our class calendar.
All pupils really have worked super hard so far with their learning of time and I am really impressed at their efforts.
P2/3 Homework
There will be no homework this week for Primary 2/3. Homework will resume following the Spring break.

The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch
Well done to these two super star pupils for their hard work recently when they decided to make a model at home which represents our current topic ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch.’
They chose to do this in their own time as a surprise to bring in to share with Miss Thomson and the rest of the class. We were all super impressed as were the rest of the school when they shared it during our Teams assembly last week.

P2/3 ‘Caught being kind’
Wellbeing Bees
One of our pupils in P2/3 was ‘caught being kind’ today by our Wellbeing Bees in the playground. He was caught having good listening and helping and supporting Harry in P7. He was given a ‘caught being kind’ card. He earned 10 house points for this and proudly shared it with the rest of the class after break.

P2/3 Red Nose Day
Today we discussed Comic Relief and watched a short clip about some of the causes that Comic Relief supports with.
The pupils then designed their own red noses to raise awareness of Comic Relief.
P2/3 Science Experiments
With Mrs Sanderson, P2/3 had an exciting afternoon taking part in different science experiments.
Creating fizzy stars – investigating what chemical reaction happened when bicarbonate of soda and vinegar were mixed.
Making rainbows with skittles – what happened when we added water to a plate of skittles.
Walking water – investigating how water moves through the paper towel by the transfer of food colouring in water.
We also had to predict which items would float and sink.
