We began to explore length today in Numeracy and Maths. We use counters, cubes and paper clips to measure the length of objects in the classroom after estimating their length. Some learners used a metre stick to find classroom objects that are shorter than, longer than or about the same as a metre.

P2/3 Creative dance
Over the last few weeks, we have been learning about creative dance. We have been learning about the 4 main dance shapes – pin, wall, twist and ball and how these can be danced at different heights.
Using the story, The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch, we created our own dances using key features of the story – the cottage, the boat, the waves, the seaweed and seagulls to inspire us.
