We have been developing our dribbling and passing skills in basketball. This week the focus has been on shooting and practising a lay up. Everyone did really were and we had lots of shots on target!

We are refreshing our spelling activities and the class engaged so well in being text detectives this week. They searched their reading books for the phonemes they are learning this week. We had lots of discussion about strategies to help spell words too such as finding words hiding inside words and using syllables.

Homework Block 2 will start next week, week beginning 27th Oct.
Homework is posted on Teams.
Take a look at our achievements page to see what a talented bunch we have in P4/5!

We are starting our RME topic of religious buildings by looking at Christian churches.
The class worked in pairs. They accessed a web link via our class Team to learn about features of a church. Then they designed a floor plan of a church.
Once complete, the pairs self-assessed their work against the success criteria.

At the start of each school year, we create our class charter and refresh our knowledge of Right Respecting Schools. We have been reminding ourselves of the ABCDE of rights and what dignity, equality and equity means to us.
We explored what dignity, equality and equity mean and what this looks like at Fenwick Primary School and ECC.

Please find a copy of the Meet the Teacher Presentation for your information.
We have been learning to play Spelling Battleships to practise our spelling words. It’s a 2 in 1 game, practise grid referencing while practising spelling! It has been great fun and everyone is loving it!
