Heads of Ayr Farm Park Summer Trip

Our whole school summer trip to Heads of Ayr Farm Park will be on Wednesday 25th June.

The cost per child is £7.00.  This is a greatly reduced cost thanks to the wonderful Parent Council making a donation of £6.00 per child.  As always, the support of our Parent Council is very much appreciated.

Parentpay is now open for payment to be made.  Thank you.

Further information about the trip will come out nearer the time.

Primary 7 PE Activities Evening – Wednesday 14th May 2025 – 4pm – 5:30pm

Please find attached P7 Activity Evening information letter which was originally sent out to you all last month.

The Robert Burns Academy PE staff have arranged for external visitors to come in and work alongside them to organise a wide range of activities for the event which should be a really good introduction to the PE Department for both parents/carers and pupils moving into S1 in August.

Lapraik Festival – Saturday 29th March

The annual Lapraik Festival took place on 28th & 29th March.

The event is named in honour of Muirkirk poet and friend of Robert Burns, John Lapraik,  and is a celebration of poetry, song and Scots language.

The event on the Saturday morning was for pupils of the local schools who were winners in their own school.

Catrine PS was represented by Harris P5, with his poem ‘Social Dancin’ by Anne Kelly.

We are delighted to say that Harris won 1st place in his age category.

A massive well done, Harris.
