This has been a challenging time for everyone and the effects on every family will be different. The important thing to remember is that you are not in this alone and there is lots of help, advice and support out there for families, if needed. I have attached some posters with helplines below. ♥
With so much going on in the world, the changes and challenges we have faced as parents/carers, it’s good to take some time, when we can, to focus on ourselves and our own mindset. I have attached some self care tips for anxiety. ♥
Exercise is a great way to keep yourself fit and healthy, not just physically but mentally too as a family. I have attached some yoga positions parents/carers and children can try out together. ♥
Why not try Cosmic Yoga on Youtube? There are lots of videos available – I will show you one of my favourites.
Have a super day and lots of fun trying out some yoga. Remember You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. Take care of yourselves ♥
I’m sorry seem to be having some technical issues this morning, try this link after having listened to my story in post below to find Pantosaurus ♥
Good morning,
Today Active Apple Man has something very important for us to do. The theme today will be all things PANTS as we talk about the PANTS rules. To get us started I have a little story for us to listen to – hope you enjoy. ♥
I hope you enjoyed the story, it’s one of my favourites! Now we are going to meet Pantosaurus – some of the children are already aware of Pantosaurus and the PANTS rules, and the thing that they love the most is the PANTS song. Parents beware it’s very catchy!
https://youtu.be/-IL07JOGU5o
Parents you are now ready to discuss the PANTS rules with your child.
P- privates are private
A- always remember your body belongs to you
N- no means no
T- Talk about secrets that upset you
S- Speak up, someone can help
Within the ECC we talk about who we can trust, who could we talk to about our worries?
A little fun now, draw and decorate your own pair of pants any way you would like. Have fun and any amazing designs can be sent to to me at;

How about today since it is so lovely outdoors and you may have your pools out, we gave our toys a clean. We could use our dolls, cars or trucks. Pop them in a basin with some soapy water and a sponge, and leave them to dry in the sunshine afterwards. Good way to cool down and good practice for doing the washing up 😁
Have fun everyone and enjoy your day.
Another fabulous entry tonight, well done Logan! this is great!

Good Morning Everyone,
So far this year we have had Safe Suzie, Healthy Hannah and Achieving Andy as our superhero characters supporting us on our quest through all aspects of Health and Well-being using the SHANARRI indicators . The children have designed these characters and named them all on their own. Today’s task is to design a character to support us while exploring Active and what this means to us. The pictures below are just examples, I would love to see the children draw their own superhero and name them using the letter A. It would be great to see what the children come up with and their creations can be emailed to myself at ealesley-anne.adams@glow.sch.uk and we will vote for who we think should be our Active Superhero! Have fun, I can’t wait to see your creations ♥
“Well Done Abi, you have been working really hard to achieve this.” – Achieving Andy ♥
“It’s great to see what everyone is achieving from home”, Achieving Andy. ♥
I have attached a story today that may be helpful when trying to support our children through these uncertain times. My own daughter has shown a lot of interest in masks at the moment and I have had lots of questions asked! This is a lovely resource I hope you find useful ♥

Gracie-Leigh has been helping her mum make special masks! She used a needle and thread to sew it together. Nicest masks I’ve ever seen 🙂 Great job 🙂 STAYHOMESTAYSAFE 🙂
Good morning everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. Today I’ve got a little task that focuses on how to look after our teeth. Happy tooth, sad tooth, the children can draw their own pictures like below and they could either draw the food or find real food in the house and put it on the correct tooth. At the moment it can be quite hard to stay away from treats when we are in the house so a little discussion along with this task may be a reminder to the children of the risks that eating too many treats could have on their teeth!
Lets keep those little smiles that I miss so much gorgeous and healthy!♥
Good morning everyone, I have attached a link below to take you to a powerpoint today, ‘Feeling sad, Feeling bad’. We always encourage the children in the ECC to discuss their emotions, What emotion are you feeling? Why do you think you are feeling like this? What could help to make you feel better? and Who could you talk to? Please take 10 minutes to have a wee look and just enjoy the conversation with your child. Have a great day ♥
Good Afternoon everyone, it’s a beautiful day so why not enjoy some numeracy in the outdoors today. The task is to collect as many natural materials that you can in the outdoors whether that is in your garden or when out on a walk. I have used a large egg box to collect materials and use as a frame for counting but you don’t need to do this. You could collect various materials and sort them into the correct categories, this could be stones, twigs, acorns or leaves. You could talk about how many you have collected of each item, which you have more of and the properties of the materials you have found. Please have some fun and enjoy learning in the beautiful sunshine ♥
I have also added a link below about the inspiring story of Captain Tom Moore a veteran of the second world war who is celebrating his 100th birthday this year. He done 100 laps of his garden and raised and astonishing 17 million pounds for the NHS. I thought it would be fun for us to try and do 100 laps of our own garden, you can walk, run or skip. Have fun and enjoy the lovely weather ♥

With us all spending so much time around the house at the moment I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity for us to discuss dangers within the home. At the ECC we use the danger box to explore items we may find around the house that could be dangerous, we discuss why and what we should do if we come across them. The sheet below gives an idea on how to make a task that focuses on this, you could draw your own bags and put items in them you find in your home whether they are medicine or not and you could even talk about items such as hair straighteners, irons etc that could be dangerous. Hope everyone is keeping well ♥
Good Morning, hope everyone is enjoying this lovely weather we have been having this week. We have enjoyed playing in the garden and going walks down to the River Irvine to collect stones to paint and decorate. Then we have hidden them in various places in our town for others to find. Have a go for yourselves and see what you can find, How do the stones feel? Are they rough or are they smooth? Are they heavy? Do they have different colours or patterns on them?
Please be mindful of social distancing when out and about and I would love to see some of your stone creations, have fun ♥

Good Morning everyone, I hope you are all keeping well and feeling optimistic. The best way to keep us feeling positive and energized at this worrying time is exercise! We have enjoyed taking part in Joe Wicks PE session each day on You Tube, you can live stream the session each morning or access the previous days sessions at any time of the day. I have made a 7 Minute HIIT Workout you can have some fun with, please give it a little go . Any videos or pictures would be lovely to see, have a good day! ♥
