The Enterprise Group are very busy preparing for World Book Day on the 7th of March. The group have come up with ideas together, designed posters and sent home leaflets asking everyone to bring in their favourite book for the day. Today we combined digital technology with our literacy lesson on clarifying word meanings and got active in the classroom! The groups at the tables worked together with a chapter from our class novel to highlight words that they didn’t know. Primary 7 pupils from Portpatrick and St. Joseph’s R.C. schools travelled together to the Academy for a transition event today. The pupils had the opportunity to make new friendships to support them as they prepare for the next stage of their education. Our pupils had a very busy afternoon taking positive action today. Members of the Eco Committee, Pupil Council and Enterprise groups met to action plan for positive outcomes for our school.
