🧮🌟 Our STEM Leaders Are Getting Ready for Maths Week! 🌟🧮

Our new STEM Leaders – Callum, Willow and Ebony – held their first planning meeting today, and they have been busy coming up with some exciting ideas for Maths Week next week! ❤️

Their challenge was to think of fun ways to get the whole school involved in maths, and they decided to take some of our learning outdoors! 🌳🔢 Working together, they came up with a selection of activities that they will help to organise and lead for pupils across the school:

🔎 Maths Treasure Hunt
🔢 Maths Hopscotch
🙈 Maths Hide and Seek
🏃 Maths Tag
🏁 Maths Relay
🟡🔵 Pattern Challenge

Exactly what will all of these involve? Well… we don’t know yet! 😂 Callum, Willow and Ebony are keeping some of the details under wraps, but they assure us that their challenges will involve plenty of maths, lots of movement and lots of fun, with something for pupils of all ages to enjoy!

Planning and leading the activities will also give our STEM Leaders the chance to develop their own leadership, communication, creativity and problem-solving skills as they take responsibility for helping others learn. 🌟

Of course, their challenges are only one part of what we have planned. Miss Lisi and Miss Scott will also have lots of other fun maths and numeracy activities taking place throughout Maths Week, and we’ll be sharing what everyone gets up to as the week goes on! 🧮❤️

And there’s even more! 💻🏆 Our pupils will also be taking part in the national Sumdog Maths Challenge, giving everyone another opportunity to put their numeracy skills to the test.

It looks like it’s going to be a very busy week of thinking, solving, exploring, moving and, most importantly, enjoying maths!

A fantastic start to their new roles from Callum, Willow and Ebony. We can’t wait to see their ideas come to life next week!

Bring on Maths Week! 🧮➕✖️🌟❤️
