First Inter-School Friendly with Belmont Primary
Tonight marked an exciting milestone for our team as we hosted our first inter-school friendly match against Belmont Primary. The session took place in the Ryan Centre hall, kindly arranged by Alison Murray, giving our players the valuable opportunity to practise on a full-size court ahead of the upcoming inter-school league matches.
Both teams showed fantastic effort, sportsmanship, and determination throughout the games. Playing in a larger competitive environment allowed pupils to build confidence, sharpen their skills, and experience the teamwork needed for league play.
A special mention goes to Ross, our Player of the Day, whose excellent defending showed focus, awareness, and commitment to the team.
Sessions like this are about more than competition — they build relationships between schools, strengthen teamwork, and encourage pupils to challenge themselves in a supportive environment. We hope to organise more opportunities like this in the future.
Please note: we are only able to share photos of our own pupils, so images from the session will not show the faces of pupils from other schools.
