A Fond Farewell To Mr Nisbet.

Today, our school community came together for a very special send-off as we said goodbye to Mr Nisbet after 16 years of loyal service as our much-loved lollipop man. For so many pupils, parents and staff, Mr Nisbet has been a familiar, friendly face at the school gates—always there with a smile, a kind word and, most importantly, keeping everyone safe.

The celebration was filled with warmth and gratitude. A heartfelt thank-you speech reflected on the many years of dedication Mr Nisbet has given to our school. This was followed by a beautiful poem written and read by the children.

Music played a special part in the afternoon. Mr McGuigan treated us to original music on the piano and guitar, creating a wonderful atmosphere, before the children delighted everyone with a joyful Merry Christmas song, sung beautifully and full of festive cheer.

The celebrations continued with refreshments and cake, kindly organised by Elizabeth’s daughter, Kerryanne, giving everyone the chance to chat, share stories and say their goodbyes.

Mr Nisbet—Robert—you will be greatly missed by us all. Thank you for 16 fantastic years of care, commitment and kindness. We wish you all the very best for the future and hope you know how much you have meant to our school community.
