๐Ÿงช P5โ€“7 Visit the Glasgow Science Centre! ๐Ÿงช

On Thursday 6th November, our P5โ€“7 pupils set off on an exciting adventure to the Glasgow Science Centre for a full day of hands-on learning and fun! ๐ŸšŒโœจ

The bus journey was full of excitement, and when we arrived, we were greeted by the amazing Science Mall – three floors packed with interactive exhibits, experiments, and challenges! Pupils explored everything from forces and motion to sound and light, and got hands-on with activities about the human body, space, and engineering. ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ”ฌ

Some favourites included:

  • BodyWorks, where pupils learned about how the human body works, tested their reaction times, and discovered the incredible things our senses can do.
  • Powering the Future, where we explored energy, sustainability, and the technology behind how power is created and used.
  • A Question of Perception, which was full of optical illusions, light exhibits, and mind-bending experiments to test how we see and think!
  • Outer Space (Space Zone), where we journeyed through the Solar System, learned about astronauts, and saw what life in space might be like.

We also got to enjoy a wander through the outdoor exhibits before heading home – exploring large-scale science installations and seeing how science connects with the world around us. ๐ŸŒณโš™๏ธ

Before leaving, everyone had a chance to visit the Science Centre shop, which was full of fun and fascinating souvenirs – there were lots of exciting science gadgets, puzzles, and planet-themed goodies to look at! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐ŸŒ

After exploring, we enjoyed a lovely lunch together, chatting about our favourite exhibits and discoveries, before heading back for even more time in the Science Mall! ๐Ÿฅช๐Ÿ˜„

To finish the day, we went to the IMAX Theatre for an incredible Space film, showing how rockets are built, how space travel has changed over time, and just how far human exploration has come. ๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿช The giant screen and surround sound made us feel like we were really travelling through space!

Everyone had an amazing day, full of curiosity, laughter, and wonder. It was a fantastic experience that brought our science learning to life and inspired lots of future scientists! ๐Ÿ”ญ๐Ÿ’ซ

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the trip possible – it was a fabulous day of learning, teamwork, and fun! ๐Ÿ’›
