🎉 St. Joseph’s Summer Fete – A Huge Success!
What a fantastic day we had yesterday at St. Joseph’s Annual Summer Fete! From the moment the gates opened, our school grounds were alive with laughter, music, and the buzz of community spirit. The turnout was incredible, and it was heart-warming to see so many familiar and new faces joining in the fun.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of our Parent Council, pupils, staff, and families, we enjoyed a day packed with non-stop entertainment and activities for all ages. From classic stalls like the lemonade stand, teddy tombola, bottle stall, and raffle, to exciting attractions such as beat the goalie, a space hopper obstacle course, and even soak the parent (Thank you Mr Hilferty ;)—there was truly something for everyone!
Our enterprising pupils shone as they proudly sold their own merchandise, showing creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial flair. There was no shortage of delicious treats either, with a tempting home baking stall, sizzling barbecue, crepes, and a cosy refreshment café.
We were also treated to live music from Wild Thyme, with Jill delighting the crowd on saxophone, creating a joyful atmosphere throughout the day. The little ones loved the face painting, and many took their chances at ‘Name the Teddy’ and ‘Name the Unicorn’ competitions.
We were honoured to welcome Father Ben and members of our local parish and wider community, whose presence added to the warm, inclusive feel of the event.
The Summer Fete was a true celebration of community, joy, and shared purpose. All funds raised will go towards supporting our wonderful wee school, and we’re so grateful to everyone who played a part in making the day so memorable.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, volunteered, donated, or helped out in any way — we couldn’t have done it without you! The total raised will be shared shortly.
