Today we celebrated World Earth Day and P5-7 kickstarted it with a Live session on Tech for Sustainable Transport. The children joined many other schools in discussing various forms of transport, how they affect the environment and the fuels used to power different vehicles. Last week Primary 5-7 took part in 3 sessions of game designing through coding with My World of Work. The children began by learning how computers work, how video games are made and about the surprising amount of careers available to them in the gaming industry. Today the whole school got involved with some Outdoor Learning, and what a lovely day we had for it as well! Jo, from the Rhins and Luce Red Squirrel Network, came to work with the children on some improvements for our outdoor area. Yesterday parents/carers attended our annual Easter Craft afternoon organised by Donna and our Parent Council. The children got stuck in making some lovely Easter crafts and cards for our Easter Fayre, which were suggested and chosen by our Enterprise Group. Lots of arty (and messy) fun was had by all! What an amazing day P5-7 had at Sheuchan on Monday with the musicians and performers from the Scottish Opera.
