Spring Rolls to Start the Day!

Today we were very lucky to welcome Mrs Shannon from the Home Economics Department at the Academy to do some cooking with the boys and girls! Mrs Shannon came up with the excellent idea to link the recipe to our Buddhism topic in R.M.E so they made spring rolls! 🥕🥗

Boys and girls had an excellent time chopping, peeling and grating their ingredients before carefully wrapping them up in some filo pastry! They results were fabulous and all the children sampled the efforts of their hard work.

This was such a great opportunity for the pupils and has hopefully inspired more cooking in the future! A Huge thank you to Mrs Shannon for coming into do this and she is welcome back anytime! 😊👍👏
