Primary 4-5 Newsletter Summer 23

On Tuesday 16th of May P4/5 hosted a French cafe in the class.  Pupils had to – create their own menus for the cafe including prices for the food and drink.  They played the roles of customers and waiters/waitresses taking and making orders in French. They also used their recent work on money to add up total costs of orders and giving the correct change.

Everyone had a great time!

Primary 6 have been working with Mr Alison, Active Schools to learn skills that will help us work with younger children. The nursery children joined us for some games. Here are some photographs of our Young Sports Leaders.

We have more dates pencilled in to work with more nursery children over the next few weeks.

P7 Young Digital Leaders have been visiting every class in the school to work with groups of children using the spheros. Spheros are little electronic balls which you can programme to move and you can code them to carry out different tasks. Everyone had great fun with the spheros!

P7 Young Digital Leaders are leading an after-school group for P4 children. They are teaching them lots of different coding activities.

In class with Miss McMinn P5 have been working in groups to create a stop-motion animation.  We used an app on the i-pad to do this.  Have a look below and watch some of our wonderful work.
