P7 Leavers Trip
P7 had an action packed day on Monday 17th June at Braehead Arena, Glasgow. First we all enjoyed Pikachu Pokemon Detective with a special treat of juice and popcorn. Then we had fun sitting and chatting with friends at Frankie and Benny’s for lunch. In the afternoon we had Gravity Trampoline Park booked out for just us. There were loads of things to do there such as rock climbing, speed challenges, Gladiator style challenges as well as the trampolines. When the music got turned up, the lights went down and the disco lights came on it was very cool! I think everyone had a fantastic time, P7 did so well earlier this year to raise funds to pay for the whole day out so very well done!
Forest Friday with P2
P2 have been looking at measure in the forest this week. They tried to find wood as tall as them and used non-standard units to find the length of their arms, shoes, the benches, the den and so on. Some children used sticks, some used leaves, stones or pine cones. Mr Pumpernickel on BBC Super M. overs got us nice and warmed up for measure before we headed outside. Mrs McIntyre certainly enjoyed the funny song and dance!
Maeve’s shoe was only 4 fir cones long but she found the brick was the same length too!
The bench was ten sticks long.
The den was ten sticks long.
P1 Mabie Farm Park Trip
Today Primary 1 had a super end of year trip to Mabie Farm Park. The sun shone for us as we had a go at lots of different activities. The hay barn was very popular as were the, bouncy pillows, slides, trampolines and Henry’s Fort. As a special treat we got to do some pet handling and got a ride on the choo choo express too. Everyone came back happy and ready for a good sleep tonight!!
Sports Day Fun
Last Wednesday P1-7 braved the rain and headed down to the Dock Park for our annual Sports Day. There was a brief break in the clouds to let us complete most of our races and the children showed great sportsmanship cheering on their team mates. The nursery also popped down to cheer us on.
The children were winning points for their Houses – St Catherine (blue), St Nicholas (yellow), St Bernadette (green) and St Christopher (red). All teams put in their best efforts and we would like to congratulate St Catherine who came out overall winners on the day.
