Holywood toy auction

On Friday the 14th May 2015 the whole school contributed to a toy auction. We had a lot of toys to sell. Loads of people brought their pocket money to buy a lot of toys. Most people got a toy or two. I got a mystery box with a wooden railway and Tesco toy road. Loads of people bought toys and others didn’t. I brought £2.50 and all I got was that mystery box. It was good value though. Miss Dale bought Scooby Doo cars. Some pupils parents came as well. thank you to all the people who gave in toys

Katie Morag

I have read Katie Morag for my reading challenge.

There is 4 story in the book:

  • Katie Morag delivers the mail
  • Katie Morag and the two Grandmothers
  • Katie Morag and the tiresome ted
  • Katie Morag and the big boy cousins

My favourite one was Katie Morag delivers the mail because she got wet and then she got all the parcels delivered to the wrong houses. Then with the help of her granny island she was able to get the right parcels to the right houses.

I enjoy reading about Katie Morag and I often get told that I look like her as we have the same colour of hair and we are both scottish wee girls.

Fishing for the future!!!!

On the 8th of may 2015 we went to Dalswinton Estate for ffishing. We had to busses to go on I went on the small one but some people got on the big one. The big bus had a TV and a water fountain and the little bus had music. When we got there we met a girl called Debbie and she told us the rules of being by the river we then put our bags down on the floor. There were to men there and they were doing electro-fishing when ever something swam in the hoop the hoop flashed and the over man got his net and caught the stuff. They cautht trout and fry. Then we got to feel the fish in one bucket there was trout and fry and in the over bucket was an eel then we did kick trays I kicked up the rocks and isla caught the bugs we caught all sorts of bugs and then we just got play in the river I walked all the way to the top of the river and walked down the rapids. Then we went back to school for lunch and that was fish after lunch a man called Chris came and taught us how to fly fish.

100 degrees below zero

100 degrees below zero, directed by R.D. Braunstein, is a low budget film and you can notice. Through-out the film you notice that when they are going up the Eiffel tower in the middle of a very, very bad snow storm you can see on the ground there is no snow and there is free-flowing traffic. The film is very unrealistic for instance when there is an earthquake the way the actors fall looks fake.
The story line is about a father who has just got married is trying to reach his teenage son and daughter who have been studying in Paris. But there is a problem, a volcanic eruption in Iceland has caused a series of other eruptions and earthquakes across Europe. This results in there being so much ash in the air that there is a modern ICE AGE… With the help of a few friends along the way, they try to reach an military base, which will enable them to escape in a cargo plane to Australia. Will they get there in time?
This film is quite good and over all I would give it a 8/10.
