Forces, Light And Sound!

We have started a new topic with Miss Dale called Forces, Light And Sound! Right now we are learning about Friction and did lots of fun tests to determine what makes the Friction levels go UP and are soon to be learning how to make it go DOWN. Yesterday we got a wooden shelf and slid shoes down it to see how far they would travel, surprisingly, Kaylan’s indoor shoe went down the fastest on her, Jack and Orla’s experiment board. When we had finished that experiment we had to see how high up the board would go until the shoes slide down. On the THIRD test (I know so many tests!… But fun ones! 🙂 ) we had to put something on the wooden boards to make it go faster, Jack, Orla and Kaylan’s group put soap and water wen they were supposed to only do 1 thing and then Jack’s shoe went the fasted down and so did Miss Dales Clog, but Jacks shoe didn’t  go very high up for it to slide down. Only 23cm’s when on the second test it was 49cm-69cm high because we cant remember the exact heights. It was actually really fun!

Big Thursday And Business Groups!

We have started Business Groups and Big Thursday back up again and I think most people are happy about this. On Big Thursday Miss Stapleton is Teaching Computer Science And Coding, Miss Brochi-Donald is teaching P.E. (Gymnastics!), Miss Jardine (Not the Mrs Jardine that works on the office!) is teaching Art And Crafts and Miss McIntyre is teaching Outdoor Education/Learning! Last week was really fun so everyone is looking forward for this weeks.

For Business Groups there are only a couple of groups; Nature And Wildlife, Reading, Kiva-Good Behaviour, Fitness-WOW Group, Librarians and lots more fun groups! James, Kaylan, Dakota Lange and Kaitlyne are the Librarians for the Reading Hub and have to make sure it is really clean and there is no dirt and everything is spotless and we have to hoover and make sure all the books are away and plan events to get people reading and yeah, half of our stuff includes cleaning but I know some of the other groups have more cleaning than us to do.. *Cough, Cough Job’s Group Cough Cough…*

so today at school we did spelling and reading kensuke’s kingdom it’s about a family that buys a boat and they were travel around and they have a dog named Stella Artois and its black and white and it was cute. in maths we did sumdog and games and mental maths. we are learning about forces lights and friction its amazing.

This week at holywood we were learning about friction and it is good so far. We have learned about what it means and how it works so we have been experimenting

and with miss mackentier we have been doing the journey of the cocoa bean that was really fun  we have just finished that topic so we have moved to another topic but I have forgot what it was but it was really fun so all we done was put arrows how it  functions.

 

 

Big Thursday

so we had our first big Thursday of this term and it was really good we done gym and we done gymnastics for art we were doing paper sculptor’s and for computer science we were doing coding that was the best thing of the day than last but not least we had out door learning we were just doing knots on trees and hot to put dens up.

With big Thursdays on a role we are now very busy at holywood the time table for p567 is art with miss  jarden  we are currently doing squelchers after snack we have miss staptan  with computer since .  after lunch we have miss brocy  Donald  for PE   finly miss macntier  for outdoors

On big Thursday we had loads of fun. First we did art then computer science  after that we did PE and finally it was outdoor learning . In art we did a paper sculcher . In computer science we were doing coding. In PE we were doing some gymnastics. In outdoor learning we were doing knots. It was a brilliant day.

Big Thursday is always good compared to other school days. As was the first Big Thursday of this term. I am in P6 this year and we did not get big Thursday for the first two weeks of term. There is only PE Outdoor learning and computer science this year.

PE is Mostly football. (Alright) Last big Thursday we made knots for outdoor learning. (Good) And computer science we animated our name. (Alright)

learning in senior class is so fun. We are learning about forces we are doing a poster in the class room. We and Erin are doing a push force.

on big Thursday  we have a new subject it is computer since. In it we do coding and we also have some new teachers.  they are very nice.

in primary 5to7 we have ben learning about forces in are topic. We finally got big Thursday back it is awesome we got a new helper called miss jading. The things we do is computer science, out dour learning, p.e., and art. In maths we have a time table. It is we started at games then sumdog and miss s.

We started with art, Miss Jardine was our new Teacher. We made sculptures out of card.

Then we were at computer science with Miss Stapelton.

After lunch we done PE with Miss Brockie-Donald.

Finally, we did outdoor skills with Miss McIntyre.

Larssons favourite was PE

My favourite was coding on the computer.
