Holywood Hullabaloo

On Wednesday we had a art gallery which was cool and it had every persons art in the whole school and more  and this is Kyes  work and Gabriella work 🙂 and we had juice but I liked the art  gallery but I loved Pauls

the art was good but I didn’t like the way it was laid out. it was fun seeing peoples art and posters/leaf lets.

my art was biggest art and my was awesome  giraffe. my art was really good my artist done screening panting :).

 

we have been doing art for weeks and we have finish the art work and we had to have a booklet or a poster full of information I done George birrell and Dakota was doing Bridget riley the art gallery was amazing me and Dakota did not expect so many people to be there all the little ones were always at this little station and you got to design

art work with play dough.

2 Weeks ago we had to pick an artist to do a project on I picked Seen he is a graffiti artist he spray paints trains and every train he seas he spray paints he has a group of people to help him his spray paint train sometimes they get drunk but they still done a good job.

Yesterday we opened the largest collection of art we have ever had at Holywood Primary School. With over 50 local artists showing work (some of them for the very first time) it was a feast for the eyes for our parents and families.

The pieces were varied with some pupils re-creating the masters such as Picasso and Van Gogh. Others choose street artists such as Core 2 and Lady Pink. Sonny selected a Scottish artist Ken Currie who produces some very sombre work – dark!!

Thanks to all who visited this 24 hour pop-up art gallery. We have taken lots of photos and will get pupils to post about it next week.

We may also try to get some of our work in the local press.

Art work will be coming home over the next couple of days – enjoy!!

Today doing blogging before we were doing reading box on Monday we did are last bit of topic work and I am not good with religion at all I don’t won’t do  it again  but if I had to I would  and the topic were doing as well is famous artist  I am doing  George birrel he likes to make buildings in many different colours and my favourite is smugglers moon. But wish it was like last week it was snowing like there was so much snow I think it was a bit  to much snow because it was it was stopping the food getting to the shops but the snow is gone now.

I have been working on the Reading Box. I am on Yellow Box. Today’s card was about computers.

It was telling me that the first computer was made in 1946.

I had to research who made this computer – it was Mauchly and Eckert two Americans.

They used the computer to help put the astronauts into space. They had to take computers with them into space too!

I found this really interesting – and learned a lot I didn’t know.

yesterday we had a French teacher come in and meet us we are with her for the hole of this week she also comes from France she s a  teacher over there so she has came to our school to hopefully learn some English and for us learn some French so I thing she will be super fun but I don’t know when she will be doing it with us.

A few days a go I was of school for two days in a row working on the farm and my brothers were of school as well. my dad was making us do all the jobs but it was better than school and it was even beater because it was Saturday the next. Day on Saturday we were playing with the dogs in the snow it was fun.
