The planets in our solar system

There are 8 entire planets there was nine planets. Because a planet called Pluto.  Pluto  was to small to be a planet  so now it is not a planet . I was saying about the planets wasn’t I  so there is 8 planets first there is mercury then Venus , earth mars , Jupiter,Saturn, Uranus then Neptune. fun fact if they heat up mars then people plants and animals could live on it. Fun fact animals people and plants can only live on earth. Fun fact Neptune is the coldest planet in the solar system because it is the furthest planet from the sun.   I hoped you enjoyed this

My Poster

Not that long ago we did posters with partners and this is what the ones I did looked like:

learning

For the last few weeks we have been learning about earth and it has been very fun. We made posters about the earth’s layers. Here they are in order:the inner core made from iron and nickel, the outer core made from molten iron and nickel, the mantel made from molten and hard minerals and the crust which is the layer we live on.

Big Spelling Quiz

Pupils were asked to undertake a big spelling quiz today – 30 questions.

They were allowed to be quizzed on any words they had been learning since August…some partners went back further and challenged their partner to spell words from early list which might have been part of spelling last session.

Results were positive for most. Some pupils are looking at their errors – adding them to their current list or looking for different strategies to learn them – such as chunking or looking for words in words.

Good work P5-7 back to normal in the world of spelling quizzing next week!

Thanks,

Miss Dale
