Growing Plants

Here are a few plants that I am growing.  I have tomato plants, cucumber plants, courgette plants, some basil, some ivy leafed geraniums and some sunflowers (I used some seeds from my wild bird seed and planted them in an old egg box).  I know that quite a lot of you are growing things too.  How are they getting on?  Mrs. Madden.

Wildlife from my window 3

Today I spotted a Buff-tailed queen bumble bee.  She stopped searching around my garden for a nesting sight to have a little drink of nectar.

I also spotted a Pterostichus madidus (I looked it up) which is a very common, flightless ground beetle.  What did you spot today?  Mrs. Madden

Baking Pirates on Monday by Tanith

Today I made some buns, you will see them on my blog. My book has already broken, the pages have come away from the cover but mummy is getting me some more books to write in. I made an old treasure map with coffee bags and water to make it look old. I hope you are all having a good home school. Love Tanith, byeee, see you soon. x

Monday 2.0

Today, I got Maths, spelling and reading done quite quickly. I also managed half an hour on SumDog doing some maths training. In reading, I got into a new book which is Three Hills by Mark Montgomery (my stepdad). In the afternoon, we made some treasure maps; I based mine on Holywood Church. I made the map by ripping the paper to make it look old, then drawing the design in pencil, then I went over my design in pen, and finally I covered it with coffee bag juice. I hung it on the washing line to let it dry. We also got a lesson on how to ice chocolate buns. That’s all from me today, see ya tomorrow!!
