Holywood Hullabaloo

Morning everyone, Mr Walker here again.

I saw lots and lots of red kites like the one in the picture in January and February this year.  Then they disappeared!  Well they didn’t really.  They were busy building nests, laying eggs and feeding their chicks.  However in the last week I’ve started to see them again.

Now they might be the adult birds or they might be this year’s chicks.  I don’t know.  What I do know is that they are great fliers and are easy to spot with their V-shaped tail.  You sometimes see them on the road eating a pheasant or rabbit which has been killed by a car.  If you get close to them you can see how big their wings are.  From wingtip to wingtip is about 1m 75cm, which is just about the same height as me!

Good morning,

I had a bit of an accident last night and hurt my hand, Mummy is letting me have an easy day so working on SumDog and Karate Cats today.  On Wednesday is my Grandma and Grandads 37th wedding anniversary so I am going to make them a card this week too, I will show you when it’s done.

We’ve put new learning grids up for Literacy and Numeracy.

This week we’ve added some Kitchen Science.

Here is mine, Daniel and Olly’s team flag and sports kit.

Hi, it’s Olly again.

I won the pyjamas to clothes competition in our house. It took me 1 minute and 14 seconds to get dressed.

Mum made a slide show of other sports we took part in.

We went a cycle. We cycled 2.7 miles.

Mum and Dad took my brothers and I on a walk. We walked 3.9 miles. I was really tired once we got home.

Pyjamas to clothes challenge – 1 minute 45 seconds

We did a selection of sports including our own assault type course.

Washing Challenge –  I took 6 minutes and 34 seconds to hang 15 items of clothing.

Pyjamas to clothes – I took 1 minute 57 seconds.

Me my brother and my dad went on a walk this afternoon. We went to Rockcliffe to Kippford. There was lots of steep hills. We we were starting the walk and we spotted a ice cream van so we got one. It was really good. We have been getting ice cream quite a lot lately. After the walk my legs were really sore. Hope you enjoyed my blog bye.

The horses haven’t been ridden  for quite a long time so the past two days we have been riding them. Today me and my mum went on a hack (a walk with your horse). My mum has not been riding because my sister Charlotte has been riding him. My mum was riding Lance and I was riding Duncan. We stopped to talk to one our friends down the road. Lance and Duncan were not happy because they we were stopped and they wanted to keep walking. That’s all for today’s blog bye. Take care. By Orla.
