Holywood Hullabaloo

last week on Thursday we made music in computer science. It was fun. And tis week 12 P1s came to school for about a day here. They are quiet. Today in P5-6-7 did a debate if school lunch should be longer or not. Talia was the judge. There was tow sides and the side that won was it should be longer.

In maths I did a sheet of word problems. I don’t fink much of us finish it. We probably will do it again some day.

Oh I forgot to say that the music app is called music lab its free. We got a new topic is Space. We have groups the people is Layla David Rune and Olly.

This week on Thursday with P5-7 we done:

P.e, Computer science,Outdoor learning and Music

P.E, In p.e we done athletics but mostly just long jump. First we done a long jump from the cones with out a run up and mesuared our distance . Then we done the same but with a run up . Next we went to the sand pit done a line and did a big run up and jump. Owen got the furthest there for he got extra brake.

Computer science, in computer science we did coding to make music. We went on an app called music lab. Me and Carlay chose a song called Hallelujah, it was very glitch so we had to swap onto a tablet. Then it was time for the next class:

Outdoor learning. What we done was we first went into partners and the get a massive map. After that Mrs McNay told us about the random colour lines, orange means the road! that’s all that i remember. After that it was time for music.

Music: In music we practices the leavers song they were edited by Miss Lermonts pal now there joined up there was this one song that we loved and knew so we kept practising that song so we really didn’t do much just practised  but it was still fun.

On Monday we did spelling work out in the morning .Then we had to do tricky trains. Then we did persuasion . After that we had break then we did maths .In maths we did word problems After that it was lunch time . Finally we did our topic about space . 

Today it is Tuesday and in the morning the new primary 1 came . we did tricky trains   .Then  we did a debate  about if school lunches should be longer or is it the perfect time .  After that it was math we did a math game on the computer then it was lunch. Finally now we are doing blogs then French then after  it would be home time !!!

Hello Grace here , tomorrow the p7s are going to high school! 7/9 p7s are going to Wallace hall  academy and 2 are going to St joseph’s collage ( Its a high school I promise)

I am going to Wallace hall academy. last time we did a social enter prize the teacher we had was Mr McKenna  he is very funny.

This time we are getting a taster of some of are classes like P.E. anyway next week  will hopefully do another blog on this subject. BYE : )

Hi Tasnim here , today I will  tell you about the sprint relay race, which is tomorow  I am so exited.  Jacky, who works for the Active schools came on Wednesday too do flat races with us then she picked the teams. I am on the team. the teams are Me, Daisie, LIbby and Thomas P They other team has Owen, Danial, Brody and Liam she picked the teams 

This week, in P5-7 in IDL, we have been talking about Space/ Solar system.

We learned about different planets and what they’re made out of on the surface! We did a fact file on purple mash about all of the planets sizes, photos and distance from earth. Next we research a lot about the planets using books and Google. Then we found out about when the planets where made and how far people travelled in space. After that we used coins to measure their distance between earth and mars! The most famous dwarf planet is Pluto. I would like to learn about all of the dwarf planets.

On Wednesdays we practice for Gala Day my group is doing face paint and glow in the dark fake tattoos! My group is Tasnim, Daisie ,Asil . It is £3;00 for a full face, £2:50 for a small designs on hand or face, And £1:00 for a fake tattoo! suprizingly we have already printed out face designs and hand designs.  We hope people enjoy it but last year we got over £50 on face paint! We are only a small group but I think we will manage I’m really exited. A favourite designs last time was a ice cream, and since we are doing Gala day in summer it will probably be a favourite again.

Sadly we have to practice for Some weeks but we are quite good because I was in the face paints group last year . Surprisingly we need to buy more face paints we don’t have enough colours but we have new sponges and brushes. We need every colour of the rainbow!

Hello it’s Owen i’m going to tell you about the Sprint Relay that’s tomorrow. Sprint Relay is an athletic sport were your in a team of four and each person has a position. The positions are 1st 2nd 3rd 4th the first position starts with the baton, they run round the bend to number 2. Then they run on the straight to number 3 they run round a bend and 4 finishes. Now you know what sprint relay is I will tell you about out team for the school.

There is two teams and i’m in team A in team A it’s me Brody Daniel Liam Daniel’s 1st, Liam’s 2nd, i’m 3rd and Brody’s 4th. In team B it’s Daisie, Thomas, Libby and Tasnim. Last year Holywood won it and I think we have a good chance this year. `

Two weeks ago, we done a race to see who made it in to the B and A sprint relay team. Before that we done some training to practice for the day. The people who are in the A team are Brody Wells, Daniel Johnston, Owen Howie and Liam Johnston. If you want to watch us  run and cheer for us, Come to the David Keswick Centre on the 13th of May at 3:50 pm.

in our gala group we are doing movies. the move company is  clade Corner Films. our move age ratings are 5 8 10. The people in this group is Noah Rune Tom and Thomas A. are movies are based on Thomas.
