Hi. Caspian here.
Today I wrote a report as if I was an archaeologist in the future. I wrote it on a certain object. Here it is:
It is round and decorated with flowers of old. It seems to be made of clay and has a ridged bump underneath. Also underneath is the makers of the object: Portmeirion. It also says it was designed by a certain Susan Williams-Ellis. With some extra research done, it was something to eat off. It may be a devolved version of a plate. There is writing with the decorative flowers. It says Forget-Me-Not. It is probably implying this is the flowers name. The plate is glazed and shiny. There also seem to be drawings of animals/insects that visited the plant. The décor may make the plate a collectible and the glaze may make it easier to eat off, wash and keep the quality if not a collectible. It seems to be the right size for a snack, a meal would be too big.
That’s it! See you on Monday!
Hi! Caspian here.
Today I finished reading the Black Moon Moth. I also helped Mum with a few things as she has six stitches in her side and it really hurts. I lost a tooth so fingers crossed for some small change Robux style!!!! I also had a call with class which was really great and with Mr. Laidlaw. I had some maths with Mr. Laidlaw and I got a bit tangled during my 8 times table, but I am not great at that, so it was a win. I have a few angles left to measure but we still can’t find the protractor after Tanith threw it at me yesterday in a huff. Also here is my book report on the Black Moon Moth:
I liked the plot of the story, but the further I got into the book the more repetitive it got. I agree it could have had an extra chapter, but I did enjoy the illustrations. I would also like to point out that the other books seem like a good read if you are into the style of this author’s books. This is an honest opinion and I do not mean to insult the author.
Anyway, that’s it! Bye!
Hi. Caspian here.
Mark was my home teacher today as Mum had an operation. She’s home now and said I can bake bread tomorrow and we can all go for a country walk to look at the changes in the season. I had a call with Feis Rois today. I also had some maths and spelling. In literacy I had to make a poem about an unusual pet and to be as imaginative as I fancied. Here it is:
Once, there was a pie,
Its smell made you die.
Because it was no apple pie.
It was a fly.
It had never bathed, sly.
He is my pet,
He says his name is Kev.
We ran through the streets,
And fell in feet.
They smelled like peat.
We both drowned,
But we made it loud.
Please leave how you thought of it in the comments.
Bye!
Hello everyone,
Today I have been doing some maths, nots and crosses, and literacy.
My Literacy was to do a poster to tell people not to litter.
I had a lot of fun doing nots and crosses. My maths was not bad.
I tried to join my class call but it wouldnt connect and it made me sad. Can I have a call tomorrow please?
Mama says we can have a baking day tomorrow as I want to make buns and my brother wants to make more bread.
Mama had an operation today. she is really sore and has six stiches.😢 I helped her feed our birds when she came home.
Pupils across the school have been looking at plants this week.
Studying the parts of plants and the best way to do that is to get out and look at real plants.
P6/7 have been digging up dandelions to draw, study and then dissect. They have taped down and labelled all the parts of the dandelion plant.
You have to dig deep as the dandelion has got a very long and strong tap root.
Tomorrow we are going to look at different flowers to see if we can spot the female and male parts that are needed for reproducing new plants.
We’ll try and get some pictures up on the blog for you to see.

Tanith and Caspian we need to tell you about the new teachers we have in school…
Mrs Renaud is in on a Thursday and Friday. This term she is working on Storytelling and Drama for Big Thursday. She will be working in the P1-3 on a Friday too.
Mr Sanderson has come to Holywood to learn all about teaching so Miss Stapleton and I are having to be on our very best teacher behaviour. And we are having to look very organised so that Mr Sanderson picks up our very best teaching habits only!!
It is tricky to get to know people when they are behind masks so we have started our Wake Up Shake Up in the playground.
Looking forward to seeing you guys very soon!
Miss Dale
