Fantastic Fox Day

Hello everyone! 😁😀

We went for a lovely woodland walk today. I tried to think  of something to write a poem about but I couldn’t decide on anything so if it isnt too rainy on Thursday we will walk in the woods again to help me. Today I have been doing some spelling, naughts and crosses, maths, 3x Tables up to 12, reading The Enchanted Wood and then I had a call with Mr. Laidlaw. After that I had a call with my class and mamas fox teddy that I love came along it was super fun!  Be safe, be happy, smile every day and be kind. Love from Tanith 🦊🐾 By the way, I have seen four starlings eating in my garden today. We put more fat balls out for them as they were very hungry.

Arctic Explorer Interview (better late than ever)

Hi Everybody,

Last week I interviewed my Uncle David on when he went on an expedition to the Arctic when he was 16. Interviewing Uncle David was fascinating for me because I didn’t really know much about expeditions at all.  I really want to do something like this when I’m older it sounds amazing.

We were going to put the video of the interview up, but my little cousins kept trying to join in. My mum typed up the conversation for me, so special thanks to her. Hope you like it!

Interview with uncle David

See you on Monday!

Hand Hygiene designs

This afternoon in the hub we designed characters and products to help us with hand hygiene.

Here are some of our designs. Have any of you at home tried this task yet?

Feeding My Birds

Hello everyone, I have put up a picture of my garden birds. I have a lot of sparrows who live in the hedge and two lots of jackdaws are building a nest in our chimney. I also saw a robin today. All of them really like the fat balls a lot and the seed I put out for them. Today I did more angles work and the bad bug challenge wordsearch. I also made up some puns. This will be a piece of pie. Stay light! Youre rocking this! Snow what you want to do today? Are you eggcited for Easter?! I added up hours and minutes in minutes. To end my day I checked up on my bread experiment. I have started a table that shows the sample (control/floor/door frame/cutting board) and the days I make my checks. Day one shows no change that i can see. I have a big magnifying glass to help me. I can also play detective with it!!!!!

Be happy, smile everyday and be kind. Love from Tanith xxx

Today

Hi,

Today Mum wanted us to create a poster about the good and bad points of the last year in lockdown.

Good

Loved having lots of BBQ’s in the summer because Mum was home

Loved whittling a lot in the summer

Loved having the pool out for along time and being able to play in it longer with no school.

Bad

Mum made us do extra school work when she was working at home

Sad I could not see my family

Really miss my friends and teachers.  Missed being in the woods too.

Today’s Work

Hi everyone,

Today Mummy wanted us to do a poster about the good and bad things about lockdown and homeschooling over the last year.  A few of my ones:

Good

I liked doing art at home

Mummy helped doing maths and reading

Doing Epic book reports

Spending lots of time with Mummy & Scott

Bad

2 holidays to Florida cancelled

No food on shelves in shops!

Not seeing family!

Missing school friends and teachers.

Hope you like my poster.

Horrid Hands Experiment

This afternoon in the hub we worked on the Horrid Hands Experiment. We found that washing our hands with cold water didn’t remove a lot of the cinnamon (harmful microbes), washing our hands with warm water was slightly better but the best and most hygienic way was to use both warm water and soap.

Thanks to Dakota for being our photographer during the experiment. Here are some of our action shots…
