Archaeological Report

Hi. Caspian here.

Today I wrote a report as if I was an archaeologist in the future. I wrote it on a certain object. Here it is:

It is round and decorated with flowers of old. It seems to be made of clay and has a ridged bump underneath. Also underneath is the makers of the object: Portmeirion. It also says it was designed by a certain Susan Williams-Ellis. With some extra research done, it was something to eat off. It may be a devolved version of a plate. There is writing with the decorative flowers. It says Forget-Me-Not. It is probably implying this is the flowers name. The plate is glazed and shiny. There also seem to be drawings of animals/insects that visited the plant. The décor may make the plate a collectible and the glaze may make it easier to eat off, wash and keep the quality if not a collectible. It seems to be the right size for a snack, a meal would be too big.

That’s it! See you on Monday!

Book Review

Hi! Caspian here.

Today I finished reading the Black Moon Moth. I also helped Mum with a few things as she has six stitches in her side and it really hurts. I lost a tooth so fingers crossed for some small change Robux style!!!! I also had a call with class which was really great and with Mr. Laidlaw. I had some maths with Mr. Laidlaw and I got a bit tangled during my 8 times table, but I am not great at that, so it was a win. I have a few angles left to measure but we still can’t find the protractor after Tanith threw it at me yesterday in a huff. Also here is my book report on the Black Moon Moth:

I liked the plot of the story, but the further I got into the book the more repetitive it got. I agree it could have had an extra chapter, but I did enjoy the illustrations. I would also like to point out that the other books seem like a good read if you are into the style of this author’s books. This is an honest opinion and I do not mean to insult the author.

Anyway, that’s it! Bye!

Pie Fly

Hi. Caspian here.

Mark was my home teacher today as Mum had an operation. She’s home now and said I can bake bread tomorrow and we can all  go for a country walk to look at the changes in the season. I had a call with Feis Rois today. I also had some maths and spelling. In literacy I had to make a poem about an unusual pet and to be as imaginative as I fancied. Here it is:

Once, there was a pie,

Its smell made you die.

Because it was no apple pie.

It was a fly.

It had never bathed, sly.

He is my pet,

He says his name is Kev.

We ran through the streets,

And fell in feet.

They smelled like peat.

We both drowned,

But we made it loud.

Please leave how you thought of it in the comments.

Bye!

The Signalman

Hi. Caspian here.

Today I did some math word problems. I also wrote a review on Charles Dickens’ book The Signalman. Here it is.

The story is about a signalman who is having strange apparitions about a red danger light. He tells someone about this. The next day the stranger came back to find the signalman had been run over by a train. The plot of this story was interesting. I like horror and mystery themed books, as they intrigue me. I like the way they scare you and make you feel suspicious about things.

I also did 10 facts about the Border Reivers.

  1. The Border Reivers were Anglo-Scots.
  2. They were raiders between the 13th and 17th centuries
  3. They raided Scotland and England.
  4. Their name means stealers.
  5. They came to their height during the 1500’s.
  6. There were many clans.
  7. It was described as an era of terror.
  8. Another name for them was pillagers.
  9. They lived on the border, hence their name.
  10. Some tribes would wield crossbows, while others, axes.

That’s all, so bye!

Textures

Hi. Caspian here.

Today I had some maths, including an example of ‘the answer is…’ and spelling. I also did some literacy and wrote down some words in their shortened states with apostrophes. These are called contractions. I am going to take my dog Idris out for a walk later with Tanith. I have been practicing using different textures in photography. I will post some pictures later to show what I mean. I took some self portraits in different textures to show how the same picture can change. I hope everyone is okay. See you soon on the call.

Picnic Le Francais

Hi. Caspian here.

Today I had my call with Mr. Laidlaw. I did some maths with him. After that we went on a picnic and wrote everything we ate and saw down in French. Here are the words I did:

Salt and vinegar crisps: Sel et vinaigre chips.

Pork and stuffing sandwich: Pork et farce sandwich.

Pork pie: Tarte

Sausage roll: Saucisse roll.

Milk chocolate: Chocolat de cygne.

Young swan: Jeunes arbres. (He had some grey feathers so we suspected he was young.).

Trees: De cygne.

River: Riviere

Rocks: Roches.

Au revoir.

Thanks for the New Subs!

Hi! Caspian here.

Before we get started on how my day was, I would like to thank everyone who subscribed to my channel. It means a lot to me .

  3. He died June 9 1870.
  4. He wrote the best-selling novel A Christmas Carol.
  5. His father was put in prison.
  6. He left school to work in a factory.

Anyway, that is all, so bye!

Back From Easter Holidays

Hi! Caspian here.

I have come back from the Easter holidays with some news. I have a YouTube channel! I taught myself how to do the sound recording, using the software and filming in real time.  I have put the channel link here: (23) Piggy, Minecraft, and Roblox Adventures – YouTube

I also have been on some walks down by the river and in the woods. Mum is having the second jab soon when her blood results come back okay. She was meant to have it yesterday but was sent to the hospital because of something I don’t understand. I think she has asked if we can go back to school in May. I had a great Easter too. I didn’t feel sick one bit, and I found some calming music for when I get stressed. I can’t wait for Piggy Book 2 Chapter 7. I think it’s going to be a boat, a lighthouse, and a shipyard. (Everything was hinting at water… It was obvious.) I am going to do a video on it but it will take a while.

Yesterday, I had a National Geographic quiz with Mark as the question master.  I also did some percentages in maths, some spelling and reading. I have done some maths and spelling today. I also did some spring nature and literacy. As a bonus for fun, I got a spot the difference of a Mario LEGO set. It turns out the most impossible thing to spot was no gush of wind on a slamming arm. Definitely a bruh moment. It was a nightmare trying to find the last difference.

I really enjoyed the Gallic lesson with Stevie this morning. Mum joined in but out of the screen, her actions were terrible!! I really want to play the violin again so I can play some Gallic folk songs with Tanith on the ukulele.

It will be my birthday on the 29th of April so, I’m excited for that. I have asked Mum and Mark for Piggy merch and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books to add to my collection. I have also asked for a chocolate orange birthday cake from Mum again as the one she made me last year was heavenly.

Anyway… I don’t have a language to say bye in this time so… I guess I’ll just say bye.

The Atlas and Asia

Hi. Caspian here.

Today I did some geography, maths, spelling and literacy. I really enjoyed my music lesson. I want to play the violin again after lockdown. Tanith really wants to learn the ukelei though. I looked at Asia in an atlas and answered questions Mum had posed for me. It was very interesting identifying for example the types of industry in some Asian countries. In literacy I made a limerick. I am not going to put it here because I have not finished it, and I have not caught the grasp of proper limerick rhyming. yet.

That is all today so bye.
