This week’s learning

Hi.

So in spelling recently I got an upgrade. I’ve gone from English… TO JAPANESE! So now I’m using Duolingo to learn Japanese. I’m currently on Unit 2 and I’m learning how to greet people and order food. For example: “Nice to meet you, Noah.” in Japanese is “Douzo yoroshiku, Noah-san.”. Also in maths we’re doing 3d shapes. We watched another Africa’s Child the other day. It was about Cameroon, and living in the rainforest. We made posters about it. I’m also doing a project on African animals and I’m going to make like a comic or something on it.

Bye… Also this was Caspian.

Learning :)

Recently, in school we have been watching a series under the name “Africa’s Child”. It tells us about the lives of children who live in certain parts of Africa. So far we have done Ghana and Kenya. Along with the watching of the Ghana episode, we made instructions on how to make djembe drums, For Kenya, we are doing a project on Kenyan animals. I’m personally going to go for the monkeys, because… ? When we watched the Ghana video, we learnt about a girl who was getting ready for a show, where she would do a tribal dance. They went to go and get a drum, and that’s where we made the instructions from. For the Kenya video, we found out about the life of a boy in the Maasai tribe. We learnt how going to school is dangerous, as the wild animals can attack him whenever. His family lives in a hut made of dung and mud. He takes the animals out before he goes to school, and also takes tourists on guides around the wild to practice his English.

This was Caspian, by the way. Also, goodbye.

THE SPOOKY MONTH!

Hello there! As most of you know, yesterday was the spookiest day of the year…. HALLOW’S EVE! Also one of the best returns to school from the holidays! Anyway, I’m here to tell you about what happened. First we had a parade (walking around the hall) in our costumes, with music. Some people were told to dance but thankfully I wasn’t. I spent most of the day talking to one of my best friends, Rory, who was dressed up as a zombie WWI soldier. I was dressed up as Zenitsu Agatsuma, or as I called myself throughout the day.. The blonde guy from Demon Slayer. I can’t find a picture to add as reference, so if you want to compare me to the real thing, I guess you can search it up. After the parade, we made wizards pockets, which are pockets with things you might expect a wizard to carry around. Some of the things me and Rory had were: An oven for sitting in, an expired TKMAXX gift card to cut food, a Nokia to slay enemies, and a Hocus Pocus 2 DVD. Then we made chocolate apples, which we ate later on and I got a piece of apple stuck in my teeth for an hour. We made broomsticks out of willow wood, and since I can’t tie knots, I just gave up in the end. Then we had lunch, and I’m going to tell mum to read this because I’m going to say what I had for lunch. So now I return to this a week later and forgot what I had for lunch. We played a mummy game where we had to wrap a P7 in toilet paper. My group had Ramani, and we failed miserably. Then we played spooky corners, which I won a few times… And we went home. At five o’ clock that night, me and one of my friends, Jullien went trick or treating around the village. After we went to my house, we saw the P7s and went around with them. And then I played video games for a while and went to  sleep.

World War One

Hi there. Caspian here.

Today I’m going to tell you about what we have been doing for our topic this term. We’ve been doing WW1.  The class has been reading a novel about WW1 with the main character being a boy named Billy Stevens. He lied to join the war in 1917 when he was 16 with his friend Rob. At the moment, the page we are at describes Christmas in the trenches, with temporary peace among the troops. We’ve also made WW1 posters, WW1 soldiers, inventions from the war, and models of the inventions too. We’re also writing about Billy’s story.

In P.E we have “War Training” in which we carry wooden blocks (bombs) through “trenches” and retrieve them. If that wasn’t hard enough we’ve also got German soldiers throwing beanbags (bullets) at us with even more Germans in biplanes!

We are also making a WW1 stop motion animation.

Sayonara, shikashi einde wanai!

(Goodbye but not forever in Japanese).

Operation Safety

Hi there. It’s me, Caspian. Today we went to DG1 activity centre to take part in Operation Safety, which teaches us how to stay safe, or keep others safe in emergencies. We had six sets. The first one our group went to was internet safety. We used a pre-made account to make a TikTok about how to stay safe on a certain website. Before that, we made an A-Z of websites and games.

Afterwards, we went into electrical safety. We learnt how circuits work, and how to stay safe near exposed wires.

Then we had to help a body get ready for the ambulance after it had fallen from a chair. We learnt what ABC stands for, and how to do the recovery position.

After that, we went into water safety. We found out what the rings and poles next to rivers and lakes are for, and we learnt what to do if someone falls in to the water.

Then we had lunch. I needed more cocktail sausages.

Then we went into the Youthworker’s set. We had to write down who our role model is, and then we had to write things we like to do, things we are good at, things we like about ourselves, and who we can talk to if we’re worried.

Then we went into fire safety. We learnt that if you throw a live firework, you will be fined for £5000. Then we played a game where we threw a thingymabob at what we think is good to put on a bonfire or not.

Then there was the big quiz. We should have chosen other people for ours, because we got ZERO points, thanks to Payton and Ori.

Anyway, it was fun!

BIG THURSDAYY!

SO! GUESS WHAT! I got my account back. Yay. Anyway I’m gonna write about my last Big Thursday now.

P.E: In P.E we practiced throwing and catching, then had a game of Rounders.

Art: We finished our drawings of people with their face close to the paper. (I forgot the name of the artist). I did Michael Jackson.

Drama: In drama we acted out an interview with Theseus and Ariadne. I was the Interviewer, Noah was Ariadne, and Kohdie was Theseus.

Outdoor Learning: In outdoor learning we made catapults by tying knots and putting together sticks. I got shot.

That’s all. Bye. You can go now.

our project

so basically we made a project. it was a bucket with holes in it and other things like pebbles and leaves and dirt. its called a beetle bucket. here is how to make it:

get a bucket with no holes

poke some holes

put in some bark chippings

also put in some rocks leaves and dirt

then dig a hole and put in the bucket

and then you’re done.

Disraeli

So… Guess what!

While I was casually eating my chicken goujons, watching TV.. Mark calls and we suddenly have a probably orphaned/abandoned fox cub on the dog walking route beside the church!

We took it in with a cat basket and a blanket. It didn’t seem to have anything wrong with it, and looked about 9 weeks old. Mum called the vets who directed us to the SSPCA. In the meantime, we had some toast and Jaffa Cakes, I read some haiku(s?) and Mum named the fox.

She decided to name it Disraeli, as a compliment and a criticism, she is too loving towards animals. Of course that is a good thing, but can be a bad thing if you get too close to an animal.

When the SSPCA came, we took about 15 minutes trying to get Disraeli into the other basket. Eventually, we let it go in the basket we had, along with the blanket.

We all felt incredibly sad as Disraeli went, but at least I saw a fox up close and personal for the first time!

Also here is a picture:

This was honestly quite the adventure.

Todays Thing To Distract Me

Hello. It’s me. Caspian.

Today to pass the time, due to my covid-ness, I decided to draw some Five Nights At Freddy’s characters. It took me about 20 minutes to decide which to make, and about 30 to make. I don’t have the right pens to colour them, so I’m going to find some pens with my pocket money when I’m negative, I will get some.

Drawing 1: Glamrock Freddy

I didn’t really think this one was as good as it good have been.

Drawing 2: Ennard

This one could have been better, I’ll admit.

Drawing 3: Springtrap

Personally, I like this one the most. I put in the most detail I believe.

Anyway, I’ll tell you what I’ve done tomorrow, tomorrow.

Bye!
