Hedgehogs and Woodpeckers

We decided to post a joint blog as we want to use the same pictures today.

We both did maths, spelling and project work on the timeline. Then we made chocolate hedgehogs. There are none left because they tasted amazing!!!!!!!

We went for our woodland walk. We saw a black, red and white woodpecker. We also heard him as he was pecking in one of the trees. We haven’t seen one so close before so are really pleased. We met Mrs Fraser and she was really nice.

After our walk, we did some exercises before going home. We ran laps of the green, swung from the tree and jumped about a lot. Our happy picture is of us resting after our runnings.

I, this is Caspian, have been reading a load of books about the Roman’s so I can tell you all about the gods. Mum teaches Roman archaeology and Mark is writing about Epiacum so we have loads of books about them. I will post something next week.

See ya, Caspian

Smile every day and look up to Rainbow land to make you happy love from Tanith xxx

The German Owns the Fish!!!!!!!!!

Hi, Caspian here.

I finally cracked the logic problem but I did have a lot of help from Mum who created the grid for me and worked through the statements I missed or couldn’t work out.

I created a powerpoint presentation about our need to conserve the polar bears in the Arctic. I hope you like it – we’re trying to sort out the link!

I did some maths and high quality vocabulary then I researched Ann Bancroft and Roald Amundsen. These are the facts.

Ann Bancroft

She was born 29 September 1955.

She was the first woman to ski across the Arctic.

She wrote a book called Four to the Pole.

She was, in 1986, the first woman to reach the Pole.

She is named one of history’s greatest explorers.

Roald Amundsen

Born 16 July 1872.

He was the first to cross the Arctic by air.

He died in the Arctic Ocean.

Originally, he studied medicine.

He sailed to the Arctic in a rusty old ship.

In 1897, he sailed as first mate on the Belgica.

Ye Olde Blog Post

Hi, Caspian here!

Today I have done some maths and I also did some spelling. I did some work on pronouns, and although it is very very hard, me and mum have been working on who owns the fish; we still don’t know! I had half an hour with Mr Laidlaw when I worked on x tables and some more algebra. I am also inviting candidates to apply for the job!

Today’s picture is of my handsome grey cat even though he wouldn’t show up on our class call today. Never mind, I’m annoyed but I still LOVE him.

Greetings! (I’m talking opposite)

The Scottish Play

Hi, it’s Caspian,

This is my first of two posts today because I forgot to do one yesterday. I made two description diagrams of William Shakespeare. One was a bubble diagram and the other was a scaffold report. I added captions to my Macbeth mural.

We walked up to school yesterday to get some glue and felt, now we just need to use up the toilet roll so we can make ewoks!

I finished the Demon Headmaster. I will talk about it more on the friday blether.

I’m doing superhero and super villain algebra today and some project stuff later.

Bye

Zoos

Hello. Caspian here.

Today I watched Newsround and discussed with Tanith and Mum (Mark was walking the dog at the time) about what was the most interesting article. The happy news (AKA Cute news) was on today, and as always, I picked something from that. I chose to write about Pabu the red panda from Oregon Zoo. Tanith and I worked on our report together and wrote it in MSWord.

Judging by the name I’m guessing its along the Oregon trail. I also learnt that they give homes just like their natural ones to: wolves, elephants, lions, tigers, cheetahs, more elephants, penguins, red pandas, LOADS more elephants and more! I was also asked to write what I do and don’t like about zoos. What I do like is when the animals are taken into care and given a natural enclosure. What I don’t like is when they are taken in and forced into a small cage for people to stare at them while they are forced to do tricks. Which basically points out I think circus animals are mistreated. I REALLY like animals.

Back to the point, I did some SumDog today and I was only on for a brief while but I got 67 coins. Yesterday I lost my tooth, my first molar. I tried to wash it but it fell down the drain. I should take more care.

My happy picture today is me and Saxon having a big cuddle.

Hi all, it’s Caspian.

I did a mural on Macbeth yesterday but forgot to post a blog.

Today I joined a one hour lesson with the Royal Conservatoire of Music as I want to start playing the violin again. It was really interesting and we all had a singing lesson. The headmaster told us all about the conservatoire and we listened to some children who are already studying there. Because of the coronavirus all the learning is online but it is working very well. The lesson made a really interesting change to  a normal Saturday but after Mum has made a cake for Tanith’s party, we are going out to check on the badger set and to clear any litter.

See ya!

Le Crenowolf

Hi all, Caspian is back!

I finished reading Macbeth today. It was a big plot twist when Banquo was killed. I am going to do the Macbeth mural tomorrow. I have worked on 5-a-day and function machines in maths. I also translated the descriptions for le crenowolf. I haven’t put the English on the picture on purpose.

Also Miss Dale I am sorry for using the chat room in our class yesterday. I will join in properly in the next class.

For my poster, I have created an anti-pollution poster. It shows the stinky earth inviting beings from outer space to come and visit but the aliens are saying ‘not likely’!

And finally, what did the ghost teacher say to her class?

Watch the board and we will go through it one more time hahahahahah

До свидания (Russian for good bye. They use a different alphabet.)

The Teacup Saga!

Hi everyone, it’s Caspian!

This is my answer to the cup and saucer maths question. Mum helped me as I thought it was very tricky. It was much easier when we realised you could have a cup and saucer of the same colour.

I have done some maths and French today. It was good to see everyone today.

My happiness picture is like Tanith’s. As it has been a grey rainy day, mum made us both hot chocolate supreme!!

Tea Cups!!!!

Mum and I have spent hours on teacups!!! I have learnt how to create a grid on Excel, colour words, create borders and…. how to tear my hair out! We are giving up on it for tonight but will try again tomorrow. Mum is really cross as she has maths at masters degree. Her excuse is that it has been a while hahahahahaha!

Heavenly Buns

Hi! Caspian here.

Today, I have done some maths and high quality vocabulary. I also did a task on polar bears. Mum made some delicious buns today. I had two and I realized that they were perfect. Mainly because they were 99% chocolate and I have a huge addiction for it. When I finish my blog I am going to do some SumDog and try to get some bonus coins. I am halfway to the 250 coins. Mum helped me understand the nature of the questions I’m up against.

My happy picture for today is my cat Ludo wearing a fez. (I don’t think he’s too impressed!) He has sat with me all day and he has helped me with some of my maths. Mainly the stress of “71.64+85.98 does not equal 195.86.”. He just calmed me through that. And that was enough.

We didn’t go out for a challenge walk today as I didn’t want to go out in the pouring rain.

Adios amigos! Nos vemos mañana! (Spanish for “Bye friends! See you tommorow!)
