Hello team Holywood!!!

This is an experiment to show you how important it is to wash your hands. For the experiment you will need: a bowl of cold water, ground black pepper and hand soap.

The black pepper represents the bugs and viruses so you can see that they stick to your hands if you only wash them with water.

When you put soap on your hands the bugs will run away from your hands. Have a go yourself!

Hello team Hollywood!!!

This morning I read the story about Jordan’s new Jaiket and I read the two poems. I managed to translate most Scottish words apart from three: doukin,besom and fyke. Does anyone know what they mean in English?  I also wrote my own poem, here it is:

Aw Mither

Can ye tak’ me tae Palmerston fur fish ‘n’ chips ‘n’ tae th’ speil pairk if ye hae time. Ah hae Dane a’ mah homework ‘n’ ah promise tae hulp choap th’ lime.

A’richt mah wee lassie, ah will tak’ ye thare th’ nicht
We kin hae some fin, ‘n’ choap th’ lime some ither time.

 

 

Hi team Holywood!!!

Yesterday I was doing some maths. I learned my three times table and I did some fractions, like three quarters and two quarters, half’s etc.

Today I did a photography challenge where I had to pick a certain colour and then I had to look for different items the same colour for the picture. I chose the colour pink. The idea came from the internet and I had great fun making it.

 

 

 

 

 

Hello team Holywood!

Yesterday I done an Arctic set up with my Lego. I got out my Arctic mission snowcat and I borrowed some of my sisters Arctic mission Lego which was a sled with a box in the back of the sled. The arctic set up is really cool. Mummy helped me set it up. I used the white  pillows from our white sofa for the snow. I could not put the picture up on the blog, sorry.

Today I made some snowflakes from pipe cleaners as part of the maths challenge. There is a picture below, what do you think?

This week has been really good so far and everyone’s blogs are very very good. I hope that everyone is doing well.

Today I done the Lego challenge it was so fun that I could do it again because it was with mummy. A couple of weeks ago I done typography and it was super fun especially fun because it was with daddy. This week for my trip to Japan I drew a pretty Japanese manga girl. I also tried the art of paper folding also called origami. For the origami folding l done a crane, envelops and a bunch of flying paper dragons 🐉.
