Hi!

On big Thursday we carved pumpkins,  and in PE there was different activities like holding a plank for a certain amount of time (coffin plank) (I held mine for just over a minute), and mummy sit-ups (I did about 50), and a one where we hit a balloon with a tennis racket, one person did 420 something, but I only did nearly 300.

Pumpkins:

On Halloween day, there was a disco and games, hat making, and writing wee books. There was also trick or treat, and a performance you either got a pie in the face for or a packet of haribo sweets. My one got my hand red for the rest of the day. At the end, I slid down the hill, but the muddy puddle was smaller.

We also made different coulours with paint and cut them out to make an autumn tree with. We do Algebra in maths, with is actually quite easy.

We made descriptions about   ourselves with skechnotes. We also learned more about COP26 on newsround.

before the holidays we walked to John ‘o groats.

my October holidays

Here is what I did in the October Holidays:

On the first day me and my dad and my brother Nathan went to Glasgow to see some people, Nicole and Sheree, and we went to the climbing wall with Sheree, and Nathan went in the kids bit and i  went in the other bit and the purple route was the easiest and the black or white one was the hardest. The next day, me, Dad, Sheree and Nathan went to the swimming pool. Then we went to see Nicole’s snakes, but one was asleep and the other was staying in her little cave,  and it was nearly time to go anyway.

Closer to the end of the holidays, I went to my granny and grandpa’s new house, and one of the days we went to the beach to see the caves, but the tide was too high the caves were filling up. Just before they started filling up, i went to look and the water got in my wellies and I nearly got out the sea they went up to my waist and I nearly dropped my dad’s phone I was taking photos with.

I was also on my laptop a lot that my dad fixed and I spilled water on in September, and I was also in the garden sometimes, and Nathan went on tricycle rides with my dad. We also went to the forest where Nathan’s trike fell over and nearly went down a hill but Nathan got saved, and I climbed a couple of trees.

I went to Hannah’s birthday party and we watched a good film.

Goodbye!

hi! i’m gonna tell you what we did last week (by the way its not subject by subject like last time or in order of what happened)

So, we made wanted posters where we were wanted to help grammer and house for sale posters. We also made food posters, one to make a food or drink sound great and another to show it was unhealthy or its ingredients. My subject was the ufit chocolate milkshake.

We have 5 a day in maths, green, orange, and red, and we have a game called bang where you answer the question (eg. 7×11 (answer 77)), and if you pick up a card marked bang, you have to put your cards face down and start again.

In PE we are still doing rugby skills and play mini matches of rugby against each other, and we also have warm ups which are usually exhaustion tig or rugby ball games.

In art, we took photos of each other, but there had to be a three, and we took pictures of each other to edit on the computer, and we did self portraits (in mine it looked like I was wearing a wetsuit).

Well, goodbye, I have to go now for French which happens on Tuesdays.

Wednesday 08/09/2021
and
Tuesday 21/09/2021

In the first few weeks, we have been:

  • Spelling:

We have been doing spelling work and spelling quizzes, the pupils test each other. We have also been doing reading box cards that the teachers mark (pupils cheating?)

  • Maths

In maths we made posters that show ways we can display numbers, like Miss Stapleton’s modern art and additions-subtractions. In maths we have been partitioning numbers.

  • Art

In art, we started mask paintings, shades of a different colour each (mine was brown)

We did self portraits

And we took photographs of each other in twos with one three

In threes (one four), we did eat healthy stop motion animations. I was with Ori, Lottie, and Tumaini.

  • PE

We were doing rugby in PE, like learning throws and catches and things like that. Exhaustion tig is a popular warm-up.

  • Personal project

In P6/7, we are doing a personal project, the topics we can choose include being vegan, being Jewish and food, and eating fish.

Haiku

Haikus are three-lined poems. They have five syllables in the first line, seven in the second line, and five again in the third.

Bye!

Ball Toss

Ball Toss Rules:

2-5 players

Set the timer to two minutes. If you get the dodgeball in a yellow hoop, you get one point. If you get it in the tyre or blue hoop you get two points. One ball per player. Start at the skipping rope at the front of the black squares. Get a dodgeball  out the holder. Set off the timer. Remember the tyre and the blue hoop are two points and the yellow hoops are one point. If it bounces out it still counts, and if it hits the ground then goes in the hoop or tyre it also counts. Keep track of your points. When time is up the one with the most points wins.

Our den

The day before yesterday me and dad went to the woods and built a den. It was fun. We put dock leaves in between the sticks yesterday to help keep out the rain. Here are some photos:
