Hi it’s Erin,
I used ice cubes to see how long it takes for ice to melt at room temperature.
We did the experiment in granny’s kitchen.
A I put ice on the tin foil.
B. I put some ice on a waxed cloth.
C. I put ice in a cup.
D I put the ice in a glass covered with tinfoil.
See the results on my bar graph picture.
Hi Erin, this is great work! Your graph shows your results very clearly, because you have labelled it well. That was interesting. Thanks for sharing – someone else might like to try the same investigation at home with different materials, now that they have seen yours. Why do you think the ice in the glass took longest to melt?
Did you try the extension on yesterday’s STEM activity? It was a similar idea.
You have set out your table very clearly – well done! Are the results what you expected?
Great experiment.
Very easy to read the results with your graph.
There is such a difference between the slowest and fastest.
