We started reading a book about the trenches it was all about a boy named billy, who wanted to join the army to serve his country and one day he went to the sergeants office to join the army but the sergeant thought the war would only last a couple of weeks, the sergeant denied him but but the sergeant was very wrong about the war lasting a couple of weeks. it lasted for 5 years then billy joined the military then got changed to be an engineer for the war, then we did  drawing trench soldiers and what it was like in the trenches most of the soldiers tried to attack The Germans without being noticed but the Germans had heavy artillery to gun them down around 80,000 – 70,000 died doing it.
