Residential

This blog is about Residential. Last week we had residential for 3 days Monday morning we went to Galloway activity centre with P5-7. we started there with setting everything up our tents and put our stuff inside, the staff gave us a tour and 30 minutes later we started with our first activities.  They started with dividing the big group in two smaller groups the first group started with archery and the other started with laser tag after a while we switched around.

Archery is harder than it looks you have to put the arrow on in a position, you have to give the arrow power in a different position and you have to aim properly. But I did pretty well shot next to the bullseye :D.

Laser Tag wasn’t that difficult you had a gun with a scope and you had 2 teams and just try to shoot the other team. (it was fun)

DAY 2  (Water activities, Climbing wall, giant swing)

After a cold night we started with the water activities we had to wear a wet suit and a life jacket. The group that started with laser tag on day one had land activities in the morning and water in the afternoon. The group that started with archery had water in the morning and land in the afternoon.

They divided the groups in two again so 50% of the people that had to do water activities in the morning started with paddle boarding (me as well) and the other 50% started with the giant slide.

Paddle boarding : Around 10 in the morning and after some explanation we we’re getting the boards. We had to make partners but there was no one left so I had a board for myself 🙂 . We had to walk into the water till our knees and jump on the board and stay on our knees with our paddle in our hand. We we’re ready to start and weeeee. I controlled the board pretty fast after a small 10 minutes we we’re allowed to go further on the log. When we we’re at the middle of the log we we’re allowed to stand up I and that was the more difficult part but if you’re up its pretty easy to stay up. After a while we went to a wooden platform in the middle of the log (where me and Bailey jumped in the water) And after a small 10 minutes at the platform we went back to land.

Water slide : After much fun with the paddle boards we went to the giant water slide. They we’re putting water and soap on the slide (and on people) . And yeah it was just having fun and slide and do races.

Land activities on Day 2

With the land activities everyone that started with archery on day 1 was together again we started with the climbing wall. It was a wall with stones and you had to climb to the top and press the button I clicked one of them.

After the climbing wall we went to the giant swing !!!! I was going with my little and Kohdie we we’re going on the highest with a surprise but he started counting from 3 to 1 and I thought this ain’t a surprise ! But he did this -> 3….. And we went it was pretty fast !

In the evening we started with pink tail there we’re a few hunters and they had top chase the people with a pink tail (a pink tissue) and took the tail of them when you tail got grabbed you are a hunter as well I started as hunter in the first round. In the second round I got caught pretty fast. But in the last round is started hiding with Liam, Esmae And Kaitlyn one time Ramani saw us and started coming but he never saw me so I was just chilling till the end.

Day 3

On the last day we had the dragon boat race we had some explanation in the morning and we started the race the first round was close but we lost. The Second round was close as well but we lost again and in the last round against the group that started with laser tag on day one. And it was close as well but we lost again so yeah that was the dragon boat race.

Disclaimer : The soup wasn’t even close to tasty .  (same for the chicken nuggets and chips)

LEAVING

We had to leave on day 3 as well (sad). We packed our stuff including the tents and we hopped in the bus again and it was a pretty fun ride as well !
