on Friday we went to the Crichton the Totem.

Which was made in Mexico.

There is only two in the world one in the Crichton and one in the creators home town.

The gods of the totem will get angry at you if you don’t give it a natural present.

And we went tree hugging.

we went tree climbing.

At the end sliding down a hill.

totem latemat

On Friday was our school trip to the totem pole (In the Crichton) we were making an animal we would put on a totem pole (mine was a tigebecause it is brave and strong and sneaky),  anda trail (with things like a metal tree and a rock garden).
The rock garden was big and had a bench, a tiny waterfall, and a pond, as well as the smallest tree on the trail, the biggest tree was a type of pine, we found pine cones and actually they were some of the first to be found.
The Mexican totem (called totem latamat), had a rattlesnake, a message of strength, a falcon, a message of someone is always watching, and some other things, including a skull and a hat of hummingbirds. It was also bought all the way from Mexico.
We had lots of fun climbing the big trees and it was great when we were sliding ddown the giant hill (I got muddy but it didn’t show up not that I care). All I know is that the hill and the giant pine trees surrounded in branches so it was like a giant climbing room, were the most memorable.
The metal tree had copper leaves with the name of babies that died on them so they are remembred.
We were there for a day. Before the end of the day, we did more sliding down the hill :D. It was fun and also going back up the tall hill was exercise.

Bye 🙂

Learning in Holywood! :~D

Hi! It’s Rhona back! I’m here to tell you about my learning. So! Something big is coming closer and closer! THE SCHOOL SHOW! It is called…. (drum roll please) EDDIE THE PENGUIN SAVES THE WORLD! It’s all about climate change. So one of the reason I am really excited about this show is because………… I wrote a part for the actual school show! 😀 😀 😀 :D! I wrote the bee part of it and Miss Dale kind of tweaked it because I didn’t really finish it. 0.0 We will be practising it so that we know our parts (obviously) and we can decide what part we want.

The OTHER big news, is that we went to the Crichton on Friday and you probably already know this, as we asked you for permission to go, AND you probably know what we have been doing by the state of us when we came home, BUT if you didn’t guess, we were (inhale) CLIMBING TREES, SLIDING DOWN MUCKY HILLS, RUNNING AROUND, PLAYING, TELLING STORIES, EXPLORING, SEEING A RIVER AND ACCIDENTALLY DROPPING YOUR HOODIE IN IT (in my case…. i got it out don’t worry… it was just a bit wet) PLAYING IT, FINDING WEIRD PLANTS, PETTING DOGS,  AND LOADS OF FUN STUFF! 🙂 Bye!

FROM RHONA! 😀

LEARNING AT HOLYWOOD!

Hello! How is everyone?

Last  Friday  we went on a school trip to the Crichton to see a Totem from Mexico. We learnt all about the totem pole and drew pictures of it. The Totem pole is called Totem Latamat which means “life”. We climbed trees, hugged trees, slid down hills, saw the rock garden, drew our own totem and saw the 1 tonne wicker willow cow. We also visited my granny’s bench at the rock garden.

That is all from me! BYE! O

All About My Learning!

We got the scrips today we didn’t get through all of it though because of break it is good so far and i like the bits that we put in they are really good. We are also doing Eco fashion week in the afternoons my group are doing a really cool it is looking good so far.  Last  Friday we went to the Crichton we slid down every hill we saw we collected conkers i had a whole pocket full. We also saw a totem it was really pretty it came from mexico there was and eagle at the bottom and a lady she was holding up a basket of humming birds at the top and on the other side the was a rattle snake and a person it is really pretty. We had to draw our favourite part i drew the lady and the basket of humming birds we were their for the WHOLE day it was awesome.

Stuck in My House

Hi. Today I am going to tell you about the wonders of home schooling! Not. I do not enjoy it and I’d rather be schooled at school. We are a complete pain at home, and I think I sent Mum mad a couple times. Anyway, the work I did was your usual maths, spelling, and literacy. Over the week, I acquired a taste for different styles of art, like anime. Oh and for an art lesson I drew a giant venus fly trap destroying a city. >:D In school at the moment, we are doing an Eco fashion show where we make outfits out of recycling things.
