Time Flies

We had a fantastic Maths Week and took part in lots of exciting activities. Ms Cox came to visit us and played some maths games with us; Miss O’Rourke enjoyed it more than we did and has lots of new ideas for us now! We also played some counting games in French with Madame Bradbury, who was impressed with our French number knowledge.

We made our own fruit cocktails with Yvanne from ASDA and got to try out some new fruits as well as practising our counting. On Thursday some of us brought our bikes and scooters to school and enjoyed the bike breakfast. We would also like to say thank you to everyone who visited us on Friday for our Open Afternoon.

We can’t believe the end of term is sneaking up on us already! Have another look at our Blog next week to see more of our learning.

Maths Week

We are super excited this week because it’s Maths week in school and we have lots of activities planned. We will update with pictures of these later. We have a home learning challenge this week for our Homework, as well as a challenge to “Get Caught Counting” in some unusual places. Please help us join in as there are prizes to be won.

We have been out and about in our local community recently. We went for a walk around the local area to take notes in order to create our own local area map. Last week we also walked to the Douglas Library and brought home some new books to read with you.

In Gym we have been working on controlling our bodies and moving on to controlling objects. We are getting good at throwing, catching and rolling.

As you might have seen on the news, we launched Big Noise Douglas last week. We can’t wait to start working with our musicians on Tuesday and see what the project brings.
