Welcome to our blog and thank you for reading. This is where our P2 class will share our learning through blog posts, pictures and videos. We have settled in well to P2 and are working very hard already.
This term we are learning about Dundee as our main topic. We are using our ICT skills to show off our learning, creating our own Dundee PowerPoint presentations. In Literacy, we are enjoying our new “Learning to Read” groups on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday, we are working on writing skills in class, specifically the correct use of punctuation and capital letters. Miss O’Rourke has been very impressed with our Numeracy skills; we are working on Numbers to 100 and starting to learn about Place Value. We love a Numeracy challenge. In the gym, we are working on controlling objects as well as bodies.
This week, we had a visit from the “Big Noise” team; some of you might have caught the playground concert after school. We talked to Jess about different instruments that we might be able to try and we can’t wait to get started!
We also created our “Class Promise” this week. We decided that we like promises better than rules. So, we have promised to be a good friend and not hurt one another with our hands or our words. We have promised to always try our best and never be afraid to make mistakes. And finally, we have promised to be positive and have lots of fun during our P2 journey.
